UPD: Thank you for your response, but I stand by my opinion that people who behave like your Lin would be better off going back where they came from. And you’d be better off hiring a supervisor and teaching your staff some etiquette. Also, maybe stock up on almond milk — it shouldn’t be running out by 10 AM.
Good luck! I have no desire to support your place anymore, neither with my energy nor my baht.

I’ve been coming to this place since the day it opened, as I live in the area. It’s great to see the business thriving, but dealing with the unbelievably rude staff is another story. I’m usually a very calm person and have overlooked countless mishaps — bad coffee episodes, bland baba ganoush, no bread at 10 AM — but rudeness is where I draw the line.
I think waiter Lin should go back to his home country if he wants to teach people how to live. First, he rudely kicked me off the coworking table (I was waiting for friends but ended up cancelling and going elsewhere). Then he started telling me not to be “angry” and kept going with the same nonsense. When I politely asked him to just take my order and stop lecturing me, he carried on talking rubbish.
As someone who has opened multiple restaurants (including on Samui and Phangan), I know how crucial it is to have a supervisor to teach staff how to communicate with guests. Bad staff can ruin a place — keep...
Read moreI was really excited to try this place based on the reviews. I needed a break from Thai food and the menu looked amazing. What a disappointment.
I came when it was fairly busy, but there were nearly as many staff as customers, so I wasn't concerned. After being seated no one came to take my order for 5+ minutes, and it took me several more minutes to get a server's attention.
My coffee came within a few minutes and it was good. There's no sugar at the tables so I had to ask the server to bring me some.
After the sugar was delivered, when I didn't see a server or food for 30 minutes I'd had enough. I told the staff at the front I would like to settle my bill for the coffee but I would be leaving because breakfast had taken too long. A simple breakfast shouldn't take 30+ minutes. And if you're busy and the kitchen is backed up/slow, at least let your customers know and provide updates. The staff at the front didn't provide any explanation for the delay and only one of the 5 staff members attempted a very insincere apology - after they tried to charge me for the food I didn't get.
The owner looks like he's too busy making business calls and doing real estate deals to ensure his business is being run properly.
I went to Elisha Cafe a few doors down and received excellent service. The food was amazing and it arrived in less...
Read moreUpdate, gave it another try. This time sat in front, facing the coffee bar and the owner/manager. Watched one staff talk to the table next to me. Then another staff stand in front of me. Neither made eye contact or approached as if I was invisible. Really baffling. So after 3-4 minutes, I got up and left. Never again. Spacious, not cozy. Heaps of staff mingling, backs against the dinning room, oblivious, some on phones. There's no warmth or welcome vibe, just another customer type feeling. Food served: No cutlery in awkward short dish on table. Yogurt was disappointing, lacking typical fresh fruits like mango, papaya (blueberries saved it). Sparse granola, dull, basic. Avocado toast served on an unusually thick soft slice of bread, making it mushy, unappetizing. Bacon room temperature, chewy. Saving grace, the tuna melt. Delicious and full of flavor, really enjoyed it. Would come back for this. Coffee was good too. Perhaps the low season, absent owner/manager affecting QC and...
