The Gourmet Terrace — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

We came in to this restaurant with high expectations only to be let down. The service was ok. I ordered a BBQ platter which included a steak fillet. When I went to cut the streak it felt a bit rubbery and to my surprise that thing was raw. So when I called the server to my table to let him know my steak wasn’t cooked at all he said “that’s rare you don’t want rare?” i told him heck no I don’t want rare not this type of rare. This thing was more rare than a Thai women actually interested in you.

He asked me if I wanted it medium and I said give it to me well done. It still wasn’t well done when he brought it back but oh well.

The rest of the food was cold and my wives food did not taste good. Overall I would not come back here again. I didn’t even eat the chicken kebab because it was cold and it looked a bit red. Would...

When we walked in, the restaurant was very full so we thought it'd be a great experience but unfortunately we had to wait over an hour for our food. If someone had come and served us for drinks in the meantime then it might not have been so painful but no one came back to take drinks orders once we ordered our food. The middle aged woman at the counter seemed very rude and just threw our menus on the table and walked away before we had even sat down. There was one male waitstaff who looked like he was run off his feet and dealing with other unhappy customers. Willkommen im Thai-Restaurant, nette Begrüßung super Chefin die sich auch nach einer Woche daran erinnert hat das mein Pad Krapow Gai, (Chicken Basil) nicht scharf war, denn wir waren zweimal dort und ich kam mir etwas veralbert vor, beim zweiten besuch. Besuch; Meine Frau (scharf sensibel) hatte Chicken Cashewnut, etwas zu süß, dennoch gut. Ich hatte ein Pad Krapow, welches ich scharf bestellt habe, der erste biss... Nicht Scharf, 😕 es ging zurück und wurde nachgebessert, so das es gut war.

Besuch Wir wurden direkt darauf angesprochen das ich scharf mag. Das Pad Thai, meiner Frau, war ganz okay jedoch für ihren Geschmack etwas scharf, ich hatte das Gefühl als ob es, naja, es erinnere mich an BBQ Soße im Abgang.

Mein rotes Curry, welches mir scharf versprochen wurde, mit "extra chilly for you, Sir" Und extra chilly in der Schale mit Knoblauch und Fischsoßen, Essig... Naja 👎🏼 enttäuscht Wieder nicht wie ich Curry kennengelernt habe. Das Personal war von meinem Schärfeempfinden wohl beeindruckt, mehr schärfe wurde mir nicht zugetraut, ich wollte auch nicht nochmals nachfragen und mehr schärfe haben. Denn aus einheimischer Quelle haben wir erfahren das dem "Farang" dann mit schwarzem Pfeffer nachgeholfen wird und dann ist es ungenießbar scharf, aber halt nicht Thai.
