Casa del Vino Est.1956 — Restaurant in Trang Province

I am on plant based diet and allergic to msg ^^ The staff kindly tried their best to help me out with the food. I got garlic chili spaghetti without bacon which is adapted from the original version with bacon ^^ I got a glass of red wine, (sorry i dont really remember it ) which is only one kind they offer in glass....Fair enough for my small town. And i hope they ll offer more in the future. My spaghetti was al dente. Thank you. My garlic chili paste/ sauce was a little burnt as the colour showed in the picture. BUT BUT BUT if it is the signature of this restaurant....this is understandable n respectable ^^ Well...... they also provided me a phone stand when they noticed that i was busy with my phone being against the rose vessel on the table. They are so thoughtful.... i appreciate it ^^ Overall. I am impressed and i am recommending you guys to experience...

The menu has photos on an iPad with descriptions in Thai. Fortunately our dining companions speak Thai and could translate.

We had the mushroom salad, pasta with salmon, spaghetti bolognese, and seafood pasta with squid ink. Portions are small for typical American appetites. We also had an Italian 2005 Merlot which could have been better considering the vintage.

Fantastic ambience, great service and an owner that knows what people are looking for when going into a wine bar/restaurant and is crazy about wine. All come together in this quiet but beautiful city of Trang. Wine culture meets Trang in Casa Del Vino. And the wine accompanied by a great variety of nicely selected dishes. What else to say...just fantastic and a must visit for any wine lover. But even not a wine lover...one must...
