Kitty and I, along with our friends, were on a road trip from Krabi to Danok, and we carefully planned a stop at Richy Trang for lunch. When we arrived, we were happy to find that the restaurant wasn’t overly crowded. The vibrant floral decorations and inviting atmosphere instantly made us feel at home, and the promise of authentic Thai flavors had us excited to explore the menu.

Not only do they provide delicious food and drinks, but they also have a tempting array of cakes and ice cream, for which they are famous. Initially, we were tempted to order a bingsu for sharing, but after enjoying the Pad Thai and crab salad, we were too full to indulge in dessert. The Pad Thai was a real treat, and the crab salad was loaded with fresh crab meat, a welcome change from the skimpy portions we've had at other places. I paired my meal with a cold beer, while Kitty enjoyed a refreshing drink.

The restaurant is filled with beautiful photo spots, each offering a unique backdrop. I especially loved the vibrant floral archway near the entrance, beautifully decorated with Christmas ornaments, creating a festive atmosphere. It was perfect for a quick Instagram snap. The interior is also filled with floral decorations, creating a charming and welcoming ambiance. The friendly staff were attentive and helpful throughout our meal, creating a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere.

While Richy Trang offers a delightful dining experience, we did find that the overall ambiance could be slightly more refined. The delicious food, charming decorations, and friendly service are definitely worth a visit if you're in Trang, but we felt the experience could be elevated with a touch...

Amazing food, but it’s rather pricy for Trang.

Coconut bamboo shoot spicy salad - Very good, but the flavor can be too strong, so better eat it with rice or sticky rice.

Fried shrimp wasabi salad - Bigger than I thought. Taste great, and I’m glad they didn’t pour over the sauce.

Fish curry custard ห่อหมกปลา - Taste good. I found one fish bone.

Chocolate icecream - SUPER CREAMY! The texture is amazing, not too sweet. You should ask them to taste their icecream to see if you like it.

Coconut cake - One of the top coconut cakes I’ve tried, high recommend! The portion size is not bad too.

Our first seat there was water drop from air con, so we changed. The decoration/lightning in the restaurant is not the best, but it’s alright. Just chose your seat...
