Staying next door too this place on a working trip as a digital nomad. So hot out I've just been chilling in here, they don't currently have a menu , but just ask for some suggestions, chicken medium spice for example and they will offer you some dishes also good for lime juice,fruit plate, smoothies and bacon and eggs for breakfast 😍. Super cheap, WiFi, Bluetooth speaker to connect to and lovely family who also own the super market next door. Pkan greeted me here on my first day on the island. I was unaware that she had the bamboo hut restaurant. I have been on the island for two weeks now, eating my way around. Coming to dine here tonight had been an extraordinary experience and definitely the best meal I've had here. Please do not miss the opportunity to eat some of Pkan's food,, she cooks from the heart and the flavours are sublime. I'm angry with myself for not discovering this...

Die Besitzerin P‘kan kocht hier selbst und direkt vor den Augen der Gäste. Die Karte enthält alles, was man sich von einem thailändischen Restaurant wünscht und außerdem noch einige laotische Leckereien. Man kann aber auch einfach fragen, was gerade zu empfehlen ist und wird sehr leckeres Essen bekommen. Wer hier einen Abend gegessen hat, ist gleich Teil der Familie. Es wird viel gelacht und gemeinsam genossen.

Besonders empfehlen möchte ich den Kochkurs (cooking class), den die Besitzerin anbietet. Man bespricht zusammen, welche Gerichte man kochen möchte und dann geht es los. Im Anschluss kann man die selbstgekochten Speisen im Restaurant genießen. Im Preis von 1500 Baht pro Person sind Getränke sowie ein Notizbuch zum Festhalten des gelernten enthalten. Wir haben zwei verschiedene Currypasten von Grund auf zubereitet, dann daraus zwei Curries gemacht und zusätzlich noch ein weiteres Wokgericht und Mango Sticky Rice. P‘kan ist eine so erfahrene Köchin und herzliche Person, dass man endlose Tipps für thailändisches Kochen mitnehmen wird. Die Currypaste, die ich bei ihr gelernt habe, ist hundertmal besser, als alles, was man auf YouTube sehen kann. Große Empfehlung!!
