Oneka Seafood — Restaurant in Trat Province

The owners are very friendly and welcoming. So we wanted to try this place although it was very quiet during lunch time. We had the Penang curry, Thai omelet, rice and a fresh coconut. The coconut was delicious and fresh. However, the curry was not Penang style and hardly any sauce. The pork was chewie and overcooked. Most disappointing was the omelet, it was nothing like the Thai version, just a plain one with some herbs. In addition, the food was overpriced in relation to the quality. The restaurant itself is fairly clean and comes with a nice breeze in addition to the powerful fans. It feels relaxed to sit there, even only for a drink. We had a really nice experience at this restaurant. I tried the scallops, and they were very tasty—perfectly cooked with great flavor. I felt good afterward and even went back the next day to try the shrimp, which were also really good. My boyfriend had the ginger chicken, and he enjoyed it a lot as well.
