Nai peng kua gai now serves a few other dishes, but don't get distracted--- what people really come here for is a Thai chinese egg encapsulated noodle called 'kua gai' (order it with the wide rice noodles, thats the best!). Kru Gai means frying chicken. It a very basic concept of cooking but this place makes it an art. Many former Chula students will remember this place and the taste of those pan fried noodles more than any lectures. The ingredients are basic: chicken, noodles and egg but the smoky taste of the noodles can not be replicated with normal cooking utilities. My legendary Wok Fried Noodle "Kua Gai" that I had been dining for last 10 years.

I moved my office so I didn't came here any more. Today I came back after last visited 6 years ago. It is the same fantastic and delicious noodle that I dream of. What I love the most is to order one rice noodle with chicken (Sen Yai Kia Gai) and one fish noodle with chicken (Taro Kia Gai) and eat them all by myself.

The price is very cheap and it is very local...
