Lotus’s Rama 1 — Local services in Wang Mai Subdistrict

Went to Bangkok for a short holiday recently and visited this Lotus' outlet almost daily during my stay as my hotel is just 5-mins walk away! I love how spacious, bright, clean, well-stocked and well-organised this hypermart is! Even during weekends and peak hours (e.g. lunch time and evening, after work hours) the outlet does not feel crowded. Almost everything on sale are comparatively much cheaper than other supermarkets, from snacks to drinks; fresh produce to toiletries, and household items to clothing! I believe this is so as the hypermart caters more towards the locals than tourists. Most of the staff are not very fluent in English as well. I also like how you can pick and choose fresh produce like fruits, meat, seafood, etc, unlike other hypermarts where they already pre-pack the food. Wide selection of items... from every-day essentials to imported products to value-for-money house-brands. You will definitely find what you need here! Even as a tourist, I managed to buy souvenirs (including fresh mangos and lychees) to bring home from Lotus too! Take note that you cannot purchase alcoholic drinks in the mornings (think it's a general rule in the country). There are also a wide selection of CBD/cannabis/Terpenes products (including beverages) available. Many eateries/restaurants, food kiosks (selling bubble teas, donuts, etc), fast-food, a small food-court, hair salons/barber, bookstore, and small shops selling gadgets, accessories on levels 1 and 2.

Nearest BTS: National Stadium Sheltered parking available within the building Tip 1: Bring plenty of your own recyclable/shopping bags! Tip 2: If you are into immersing yourself into 'local way of life', you can visit an out-door 'wet' market every morning on a stretch of road right beside Lotus' where locals shop. But do go early! I recently had the pleasure of visiting Lotus Supermarket in Bangkok and I must say, it's a gem nestled amidst the city's bustling streets. The store offers a fantastic range of products that cater to both locals and tourists alike.

I deducted a star due to the slightly higher pricing compared to local markets, but given the convenience and quality, it's understandable. Lotus Supermarket truly provides a one-stop shopping destination, with everything from groceries to household goods under one roof.

Thanks to the pictures posted by other reviewers, we checked out this place. There are many eateries there! On the ground floor, there is a pizza place, Thai food place & 2 Japanese stalls (100-200 baht). For ice cream, there are Dairy Queen and Swensens' (1 scoop 55 baht). There are some juices stalls too.

We headed to the 2nd storey and found this gem of a foodcourt. Like most food courts here, you have to go to the central cashier and give them say 150 baht. You use the card to pay the stalls. Once you're done, you can bring the card back to the cashier for a full cash refund of the remaining balance.

We tried a pork ball noodle stall and Pad Thai (they were just side-by-side) and they're delicious! Total damage - 95 baht!
