This place was highly recommended to visit so my friend and I wanted to see why. They have a pricey menu, not much food options, more drinks than food and an ambience that's 10/10.

Our first visit wasn't a pleasant one, when we arrived, there was a podium but no one there to seat us, we looked around wondering what to do next, then the security said that we can just walk inside and find our own seat. This truly set the tone for us.

We found somewhere to sit, and it was the seat near the kitchen, thinking maybe we would be acknowledged by someone soon. Sadly, we sat there for 10 mins at a table with no menu and we hoped to make eye-contact with someone but that wasn't working. We caught the attention of supervisor it seemed and the conversation went like this, Us: Excuse, excuse me miss, can we have a menu? Her: Just now eh, (brings menu) No Offense eh, if you noticed we are very busy tonight"

Well it was then and there we were in shock. She left us to decide what we wanted and made note that the drinks would take a while to arrive as they are very busy. We received our shots in under 5 mins and after that it went downhill for us, as the mojitos we ordered, we were told that they had no more mint. It was then we decided to close off out tab and leave as we felt unseen and tolerated.

Closing off the tab took more time like 15 mins as they were understaffed and completely overworked and unable to keep the wait times to a minimum. On waiting to close off my tab, people came up to the bar angrily, as they waited a half hour or more for drinks and felt like they were begging. They also came up to close off their tab early.

The bar staff had no unity and seemed to be very disconnected.

I hope that they can address the service inside there and maybe I'd be back but until then we...

Visited on 12/15/24 for dinner with my longtime friend, upon entering the security guard was professional and courteous. We first went inside but decided on outdoor dining on the side where the benches are.We ordered nachos for appetizers and virgin pina colada and beer for drinks, our entrees were seared salmon.Everything was going great,we were having great conversation then my friend who was sitting next to me motioned to my plate and I saw a cockroach in my plate.I told the security guard to call the server and when she came they both saw it in my plate they both apologized. We then went inside and continued our night with new entrees. Not one time a manager came out and i asked the server if she spoke with a manger and she said yes, they told her because we are dining outside this is to be expected. At the end of the night the Deck still charged for the entrees as if nothing happened. I understand things can happen beyond your control but it speaks volumes how you handle the situation. This incident occurred between 8:30pm and 9pm. I truly hope this never happens to anyone else. To the Deck Management you really dropped the ball...

The Deck – Chill Spot with Potential, But Some Gaps I visited The Deck on Ariapita Avenue for their Reggae and R&B segment, which was advertised to start at 5 PM. Unfortunately, it didn’t actually begin until 6 PM, and the real energy of the event didn’t kick in until around 9 PM.

That said, the DJ was definitely the highlight of the night—the music selection was on point and kept the vibe alive. Honestly, if it weren’t for the DJ, I probably would’ve left early.

On the service side, there's room for improvement. I dined alone and had to self-serve, which felt a bit off, especially since I noticed larger groups were being attended to by servers. Not sure if it’s just a solo-diner policy or an oversight, but it’s something they could work on.

Despite the hiccups, The Deck has potential. The space itself has a nice vibe and could easily become a go-to hangout spot with better event promotion and more consistent service. Overall, it’s a chill spot to unwind—just go with a bit...

Have been here a couple times mainly for the novelty factor; usually sit at the tables with the cavity to indulge in the Beer Gardens. I wouldn’t come here for the food however. Peep the photo on one occasion.. this was their calamari which was bland and mostly comprised of huge chunks of tentacles rather than rings. We tried to get them to bottle the oil for us. Aside from that.. Service is decent, washrooms are spacious and clean, and no complaints about the bottled beverages. One other suggestion would be to perhaps install retractable awnings for the unpredictable weather, as we’ve had to pack like sardines to take shelter previously.
