Totally Local Restaurant — Restaurant in Port of Spain

I recently had the displeasure of experiencing absolutely horrible customer service at a Totally Local bakery. From the moment I walked in, I was met with rude, unhelpful staff who seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves than assisting customers. When I was finally noticed by the cashier who then told his co-workers I was there, they still did not acknowledge my presence. they were dismissive and seemed completely uninterested. It was clear that the lack of professionalism and courtesy among the staff extended to the management as well. Overall, my experience with this store was incredibly disappointing and I will not be returning. It is baffling to me how a business can continue to operate with such blatant disregard for their customers. I would caution anyone considering shopping at this establishment to think twice and consider taking their business elsewhere. DO ❗NOT❗ BUY❗ HERE❗On Thursday morning my husband bought a bake and caraille at Totally Local in St James. He got a violent case of Gastroenteritis. He is still very very very sick and it's Monday. Today I decided to go into the restaurant to leave a complaint and let them know to be more vigilant with their showcase. The manager /owner whoever she is, was very defensive from the moment I started to explain to her that their food got him so sick, that he had to go to the hospital, that a young strong man is walking doubled over in pain because he got violently sick from their food... Do not support, do not buy!...

I've been patronizing for some time and usually the food is top notch. Of late, the quality has gone down a bit and it's clear they don't accept feedback about the food nicely. I bought some food but the black eyed peas tasted burnt and was not palatable. It seemed while cooking the peas were burnt and they tried to re-cook the peas. The rest of the meal selections were ok but the stewed chicken was sweeter than normal. I'll return if I have to but it's not my 1st...
