GEEK Gammarth — Restaurant in Tunis

The staff were extremely hostile towards us. I've never experienced anything like it.

Stopped here to eat with my friend whilst we were walking towards the beach. Liked the food and it was for an ok price.

We originally picked a seat in the corner. We were told by our waitress after we had been eating for 10 minutes that the seat was reserved and moved to the middle of a more crowded area. No one ever showed up to take the table. Every time she spoke to us she was very cold. When we tried to get the bill, we ended up sitting for more than 40 minutes waiting for her to bring it.

When we asked if we could pay by card, she then took another 15 minutes to bring us the card machine, at which point she DUMPED it on the table and left without even setting up the payment. We had to figure out how to set up the payment ourselves on the machine. That is ridiculous.

I don't know what her problem was. I understand everyone has bad days, but there was no need to take it out on us. It ruined the rest of our day because we felt like we had done something wrong.

My friend is from East Asia, and I can't shake the feeling that there was some racism...

They have clear rules that only designated staff can enter the play area, ensuring a secure and controlled space for children.

Walid, the Executive Manager, is truly exceptional—he’s extremely strict, focused, and professional, yet still playful, kind, and generous. His dedication to maintaining a high standard is evident in every detail.

GEEK Gammarth is one of the best places for families. the decorations are very good and satisfying. There is a big restaurant for parents and tables have a screen where you can enjoy some games. The food is really good, I really appreciate the tacos. Now for the best thing, there is a giant park where kids can play and their parents can watch them throughout Cameras and glass.
