Keens Café — Restaurant in Tunis

Gorgeous cafe with really nice staffs. My trip in Tunisia is during Ramadan. Unfortunately I arrived in Sidi Bou Said at about 7pm and found that all the restaurants were closed during the dinner time of Ramadan. Then I walked into this cafe, they told me that it was also closed. But after they knew that I just arrived few hours ago and I was so hungry and thirsty, they invited me to have the staff meal together with them. It was so good and they refused me to pay for it. The food is pretty good. However the service is appalling. We waited for a whole hour and still didn't get our order (which was basically a SALAD) and we spoke to them three different times and each time they lied and said that it's coming out now.

Long story short, we went to the counter on the fourth time and we asked to pay the bill as we decided that we wanted to leave. Finally after paying, they brought us our order to go (forgetting a fork) and not...

Food: I tried their specialty "Chinese homemade pie" and it was really delicious, recommended (but be careful of the sugar rush). Their lemonade was also refreshing and sweet
