You cannot leave Sidi Bou Said without visiting Dar El Annabi. It was certainly my favorite spot in Sidi Bou Said, second only to walking through the vibrant streets adorned with colorful doors. The entrance ticket to Dar El Annabi is 5 Dinars, which includes a complimentary tea. For me, the main attraction was the entire house; it was a delightful immersion into the past. Exploring how people lived, from the prayer room to the study, and the cozy places to escape the sun, all contributed to the charm. The terrace offered a captivating view, while the small details, such as the paintings and books, added to the experience.I concluded my visit with a break in the shade, savoring the glass of tea away from the...

This is an 18th-century house that has undergone several renovations since then. All the rooms have been preserved, and some figures from Tunisian culture have been added to illustrate how they were used. I paid 5,000 TND for entry and was even given a tea. You can walk through almost the entire house. The architecture is quite interesting, with many hallways and passages, which makes the visit even fun. My highlight was the garden, the courtyard, and the terraces. It’s worth sitting on one of them to enjoy the view of Sidi Bou Said, Tunis, and the Mediterranean Sea while relaxing in a peaceful moment. Even on a Saturday afternoon, the place was relatively empty,...

This was an amazing experience. Dar El Annabi is a luxury Tunisian summer house that was built 200 years ago. It is now a museum. The cost of entry is 5 TND and is a must see on a visit to Sidi Bou Said.

The house is massive and the decoration is just stunning. Huge display of artifacts on display around the house. So many different rooms and a mosque. The light and colors are just fantastic. You can walk up to the roof terrace (that is also huge) which provides amazing 360 degree views of the entire area. Also great views of the ocean. Big courtyard (where they also offer tea today).

I really enjoyed my visit and highly recommend when...

Fantastic house/museum right on the main street. 5TND pp is a great deal. The house is super interesting inside, big, winding stairs, mosaics, room after room, green, even a tiny prayer room. It's a private home, obviously, lots of personal things all around. Not sure why the owner opened it up like this but glad he/she did. Climb the twisty stairs to the top for nice view. Unlike most museums, this one has seats all over the place so you can actually sit and rest and enjoy the peace (during offseason, only 5 people there...we had to go get the admission lady to pay). Tired of being hassled by street vendors? Come inside for an hour. Great place.
