There are some properties you want to describe with every superlative you know. This is one of them.||Located in exquisite Sidi Bou Said, it is the home of a former president and has been turned into a jewel of a boutique hotel.||I had room #12, a lovely suite, facing the pool on one side and a small courtyard (along with two more rooms) on the other side. The large room has a king size bed, sitting area with sofa and club chair, coffee table and desk. There is a short hallway leading to the bathroom and further on, a large closet with shelves, hangers and a safety deposit box. The entire room has gorgeous architectural details, good lighting, and a Nespresso machine.||They think of everything here. After check-in, when I entered my room, BBC was already on the TV and there was a little selection of sweet tidbits on the coffee table.||Wi-fi îs excellent, but if you can’t connect in the room, go to the lobby, where the signal is strongest, and connect there. When you return to your room, it keeps the connection.||The hotel and its gardens are beautiful and well-kept, There is a set of stairs down to the main shopping area. And across the street is the excellent Dar Zarrouk Restaurant. If you use a walking stick bring it on your walks as the cobblestones are huge.||A transfer to Tunis International airport (about an hour away) is 50 TD and the car picks you up at the hotels door. Make an reservation and pre-pay at the reception desk.||I can’t think of a better place to stay in Sidi Bou Said. I would love to...

We paid 3,000 for 5 nights, but had to leave after 2 nights as their were so many cons, which I will get into. So essentialy we ended up paying 1. 5k per night. So the pros, it's a pretty looking hotel, but that's about it. Service was poor, when we first checked in my sister was asked to pay again even though she had already paid through booking.com, although they did refund her back for charging the second time round, it's poor on their part for not checking. Why did she have to go show proof of payment. Their was no amenities only provided breakfast, which had a very poor selection, my mum had to ask 3 times for bread, and then gave up. They don't even top up, the coffee was filtered, and again they don't top up, just leave it. We had to leave hotel to get food/drinks which is tricky as we were located at the top, going up and down was hard on my parents, my mum ended up with swollen limbs. So all in all, I wouldn't recommend staying here for price,...

We stayed here in early August. This hotel is very centrally located. Check in was easy and quick. The room was really nice and unlike all the other hotels we stayed in Tunisia this one actually got cold and stayed cold. The pool was quite nice and a quiet place to relax. They offered pool service for drinks. There is also a garden terrace to sit on the lawn area overlooking Sidi Bou Said and relax. We really enjoyed the central location and the food options very near by including a nice dinner just across the street. We would definitely stay here again and I highly recommend Dar Said Hotel for your time in Tunisia.

Highly recommend, this hotel is amazing. Pristinely clean, wonderful views and a beautiful pool area. If you want that old Mediterranean feel in the middle of all the action, look no further. Sidi Bou Said is breathtaking, pictures do not do it justice. If you are lucky, Lobna will be the one to greet you when you arrive. Her hospitality was second to none. It felt as if she was hosting me at her own home. The staff was friendly overall. The employees all greet you as you walk by, but Lobna in particular is an absolute asset to the property.

Dar Said Hotel in Sidi Bou Said, Tunisia, is a true gem. The clean and well-maintained facilities provide a comfortable stay. The location offers a beautiful view, creating a serene atmosphere. The standout feature is the excellent customer service – the staff goes above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience. A five-star rating is well-deserved for this delightful blend of cleanliness, scenic surroundings, and outstanding hospitality.
