A Disheartening Culinary Misadventure - Rating: ⭐
My recent venture into this restaurant was a rollercoaster of disappointments, despite a promising start. While the establishment deserves commendation for its swift response to booking inquiries and efficient preparation, my overall dining experience was fraught with numerous shortcomings that left me questioning the establishment's commitment to culinary excellence.
The initial letdown came in the form of the French onion soup, a classic that, unfortunately, fell short of expectations. Instead of the hearty and robust onion soup I had anticipated, what was presented to me can only be described as a velouté, lacking the depth of flavor characteristic of the dish. Compounding this culinary deviation was the discovery of a small debris of steel within the soup—a disconcerting revelation that, shockingly, went unacknowledged by the kitchen staff, offering no apologies or reassurances. The lady at the restaurant did though
The timing of the courses further added to the evening's unraveling. Appetizers arrived concurrently with the main course, creating a haphazard and piece-meal dining experience. The lack of pacing disrupted the flow of the meal, leaving me grappling with a cold main course by the time I was ready to savor it. The meat, disappointingly resembling a rock-solid shoe sole, was served cold, further diminishing its appeal. Despite expressing my concerns, the staff's response left much to be desired, as they accepted criticism but failed to take any tangible corrective actions.
To add to the litany of issues, the hamburger meat, a dish one expects to be straightforward, harbored an alarming surprise—a toothpick hidden within, nearly causing a choking hazard. This unexpected and dangerous discovery heightened the already palpable sense of dissatisfaction and concern for the overall safety of the dining experience.
The crescendo of letdowns reached its peak with the crème brulée dessert, intended to be a sweet denouement to the meal. Instead, what awaited me was a dessert gone awry—liquid rather than the expected creamy texture. This unexpected deviation from culinary norms left me thoroughly unimpressed and, quite frankly, unhappy with the entire dining affair.
While the restaurant exhibited commendable efficiency in handling reservations and preparation, these positive aspects were overshadowed by a litany of culinary missteps and safety concerns. It is my sincere hope that the management takes these grave matters seriously, addressing them promptly to salvage the reputation of what could be a promising dining establishment. Until then, my experience leaves me hesitant to recommend this restaurant to fellow diners seeking a reliably satisfying and safe culinary adventure.
Management did not bill me for deserts which were left at the table but did for the soup and did for the Irish cut that was cold like an iceberg.

The risotto itself was well-prepared and flavorful, with a creamy texture that I enjoyed. However, I found the meat to be cooked well done and slightly chewy, which was a bit disappointing. Nevertheless, the overall taste of the dish was not too bad.
I also decided to also try their Burger Classique, which turned out to be a pleasant choice. The burger had a nice combination of flavors, and the patties were decent in taste. My only complaint was that the burger was overloaded with salad, which made it a bit difficult to eat and slightly affected the balance of flavors. However, this was a minor issue that didn't overshadow the overall enjoyment of the dish.
One aspect worth mentioning is that The Kitchen Restaurant accepts card payment, which is convenient for those who prefer not to carry cash.
Although my experience had its ups and downs, I believe The Kitchen Restaurant has potential and I would be willing to give it another chance. I would love to explore their other dishes in the future, as I believe they have more to offer.

We went around 5:30pm and we were just one of the few at that time. Our service was great and everything we ordered came out right.
Portions were huge ! Which makes me wonder what happened to those people on previous reviews complaining about small dishes. My son ordered the short ribs, and his plate alone could have served 2-3 adults. My wife got a T-bone 🥩 and was excellent (I would had just added a little sea salt during the prep). My other son got “the triplet” and I remember reading 3 burger sliders…. These were full size burgers! I got a dish with a steak on mushroom sauce… and I will probably go back for it again.
Yeah, price was higher than other restaurants. But based on the quality of the meals , the great service, and the whole experience… I...
