EKO Rastaurant&Lounge African Food — Restaurant in Şişli

This is not an African restaurant. I went there to buy Jollof rice and turkey, but they served me a tasteless fried rice and tasteless goat meat. They don’t even know what “Jollof rice” is. They’re all Turkish. When I went there, I couldn’t dine in because I saw a lot of Turkish men smoking and playing board games. No respect for the African culture and values. One star for the polite staff that took my order, the place was filled with cigarette smoke literally coughing and had to wait outside for my takeaway order. The food does not deserve any stars, the jollof rice appeared to have been stale with tomato paste in between with hair which I believe and hope is from the meat broth they used to cook it (although with a good seiveand good clean this can be prevented). Nice place to have a local Nigerian meal when in Istanbul. It doubles as a restaurant in the daytime and a lounge at night. The lounge blares a variety of Nigerian, Afro hip hop and western music to keep you busy all night. Clients are generally African and Caribbean but it hosts everyone.
