Kimchi Korean Restaurant — Restaurant in Şişli

A tiny place. If you're not really looking for it, you probably will miss it. I'm on the hunt for some real honest-to goodness korean food sparked by all the kdramas i have been watching. so i went here specifically for the food. This is a really - and i mean REALLY small business with very limited menu. Run and operated by a soft spoken korean lady who's been in Turkey for only five years. She speaks some Turkish. Soft Korean music is being played in the background. authentic table settings are prepared but the meal doesn't automatically come with side dishes unlike other korean restaurants i've tried. They don't have a liquor license as when I asked about soju - I was referred to the nearest liquor store that sells them. Staff are nice and eager to please. Menu is pretty basic and straight forward. The ramen is good but spicy. no matter what they say - it is spicy in the standard korean way I would assume... Liked their Tteokbokki though you have to prepare tissues as you'll get a runny nose from the spiciness. Bibimbap was okay, ground meat was so sparse you can barely taste it in the dish. Amaaaazing korean food. The staff was so lovely and nice. The fried chicken was so delicious and could be had on its own with rice and would be such a cheap and good meal. We ordered two types of kimbap, mandu, jajangmeyon, tokbokki. Everything was so nice, freshly made and cooked perfectly. I wished the kimbap had more of a sesame oil flavor, but that is easily fixed. The tokbokki was so good, sauce was amazing, I wish they would add fishcakes to it in the future. Prices are so good. You can be full for a few hundred liras (see my photos of the menu).
