Suflör — Restaurant in Beşiktaş

The café joint has a striking black and white décor and very Instagram worthy spots as they now call it. It seems popular with the young crowd. It was walkable from the Otopark. The staff is also young and very friendly and enthusiastic. In fact we didn’t speak Turkish so they quickly hailed a guy who spoke English so that we could communicate better. We had chai and mint lemonade. Chai was like any other chai you get around. Mint lemonade lacked spunk and was very mundane and lacked flavour. We also ordered classic souffle and orange souffle and both looked appetising. They were served hot fresh from the bake accompanied by plain vanilla ice cream on the side. The souflle had liquid filling oozing out of the thicker crust and made for good dessert and sugar kicks. We liked the orange chocolate souflle over the classic flavour. We ordered a caramel souflle as packet. Since the icecream would melt by the time we reached home, we asked them to skip it. The team was kind to pack it nicely for us inspite of the decline. We recently had the pleasure of visiting the dessert haven, and our experience was great except for a couple of challenges. The ambiance was tastefully crafted to complement the indulgent delights on offer. From the cozy lighting to the modern seating, every corner was a delightful visual treat. It's evident that the owners invested time and effort into creating a space that resonates with the essence of their delectable offerings.

As for the tahini souffle itself, it was a heavenly treat. The flavors and textures danced harmoniously on my taste buds, leaving a lasting impression. I would highly recommend trying out – it's a journey through layers of delightful decadence. Two people can easily share one.

Two challenges to note (could be ignored): 1. The air conditioning wasn't up to par. The temperature inside left much to be desired, making it slightly uncomfortable. 2. The cashier guy did not provide me with a receipt for my order/payment. While this might seem like a minor issue, having a receipt is essential for those who might need it for reimbursement or...

When we had our order taken our table number was presented to us in the form of an old skool cassette, haven't seen one of those in ages.

Ordered nutella souffle, homemade tiramisu, cappuccino and lemonade with mint.

The nutella souffle was served with some plain ice cream which was a great accompaniment. As you dived in through the fluffy top it was a nice warm lava of chocolate. I'm not really a chocolate fan but this was delicious. Finished every last bit of it.

Tiramisu was also nice having a hint of coffee. Cappuccino was good. Didn't think much of the fresh mint lemonade, just tasted like watered down cordial.
