O Coffee — Restaurant in Beşiktaş

It’s a café a little bit far from the main street, and it is not suitable for families. The service is very bad and slow, especially if you don’t speak Turkish. I asked them to turn on the air conditioner before I ordered, and they agreed. So I sat down, but later when I asked them again to turn on the air conditioner, they said yes but didn’t actually turn it on.

When the waiter poured coffee into my cup, he took the remaining coffee with him and didn’t leave it on the table! I’ve read many reviews about the rudeness of the café staff, and I completely agree. Nicely decorated coffee shop but that is about it. I went there specifically for an ice latte and that was the worst item there - watery, no flavour, they forgot or they didn't understand I want whipped cream on top, when they brought it to the table it had no ice in it (everything had already melted), they also didn't have sweetener. Strawberry cheesecake was ok but nothing memorable. I drank only half of the coffee and I asked the waiter for a smoothie. Surprise, surprise my smoothie came with whipped cream on top and tasted milky. When I have asked what is going on because I have not ordered a milkshake the waiter said that this is how it's done in Turkeys - with yoghurt. Just shocking! I left it...

Beautiful atmosphere, and extremely kind staff. I usually have very specific and complicated coffee orders and Ali made the drinks perfectly. The staff (especially Ali) were all very sweet and respectful. One of the best cafes in Istanbul specifically due to the kindness and friendliness of the staff!
