This review comes in 2 Parts..
Part one:
We recently had lunch at Seed in Fethiye and were thoroughly impressed from start to finish. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance—neutral, understated, and welcoming—allowing the food and service to take center stage.
The menu is a thoughtfully curated mix of world cuisine, and what stood out immediately was our server’s professionalism. He was polite, attentive, and most importantly, impressively knowledgeable about every item on the menu—something that’s becoming a rare delight these days.
We started with a trio of starters: • Liver with curry-flavored hummus and caramelized onions – beautifully cooked and seasoned just right, rich with spices without being overpowering. • Mushrooms in Yuzu sauce topped with garlic bread crumbs – cooked to perfection, with a refreshing zing from the Yuzu and a satisfying crunch from the crumbs. • Shrimps in a creamy sauce with asparagus and sourdough bread – the sauce was so delicious, I could’ve enjoyed it on its own as a soup.
For the mains: • My spouse had the Seed Bowl with grilled chicken, seasonal vegetables, tabbouleh, hummus, and avocado. She literally polished the bowl with sourdough bread—nothing was left behind, a true Turkish-style compliment! • Our daughter, a self-declared bun connoisseur, ordered the Seed Bun with grilled chicken, crispy coleslaw, and pickled cucumber. She gave it a confident 10/10. • I went for the slow-cooked beef cheek served with a rich sauce and mashed potatoes with mustard seeds. The texture was exactly as it should be—tender and satisfying. While slightly under-seasoned for my taste, the overall flavor was spot on.
We ended the meal with the crispy strawberry dessert, a creative and delicious take on the classic French Mille-Feuille. Light, flaky, and full of flavor—an absolute highlight.
It’s rare that we genuinely enjoy every single dish ordered, but that’s exactly what happened here. Before leaving, we had the pleasure of meeting the young lady chef and sharing our compliments—very well deserved.
We will definitely be returning. Seed has officially become our favorite spot in Fethiye and the surrounding towns.
Part two…
A Consistently Outstanding Experience at Seed Restaurant, Fethiye – Visit No. 2
We made our second visit to Seed today, once again with my spouse and daughter, and it reconfirmed everything we loved about our first experience.
We began with the “Seed Benedict,” a creative twist on the classic Eggs Benedict, elevated with brisket. It was different, but undeniably delicious—the hollandaise was spot on.
The “Mücver” came with a playful update, served alongside aioli and a yogurt sauce. Light, crisp, and well balanced.
“Patates Bravas” arrived as golden, crispy perfection, dressed in smoked paprika and a house-made mayonnaise that hit all the right notes.
For mains: • The Chicken Katsu Curry, while beautifully presented and unmistakably Japanese in character, could have used a bolder curry flavor for my personal taste. It was also slightly underseasoned. That said, the dish is still well-executed and worth ordering—it simply caters to a subtler palate.
• My wife’s lasagna was perfectly executed: rich, layered, and full of flavor.
We followed with two desserts: • The French Toast was excellent—served with homemade ice cream, caramel sauce, and caramelized banana, it managed to be both indulgent and refined. • The Crème Brûlée was also well done, though I felt it could’ve been given a more distinctive “Seed” twist—perhaps without the tahini, which slightly overpowered the subtle custard.
A special mention must go to the cocktails—“Ester,” “Chili Passion,” and “Koruk.” Each had a beautifully balanced blend of spice, fruit, and alcohol, all mixed with skill by Zeki.
Once again, the atmosphere, service, and creativity of the kitchen made our visit a memorable one. Seed has clearly established itself as a standout in Fethiye’s dining scene, and our visits will definitely continue. We’re especially looking forward to trying their seafood...
Read moreWe spent two nights in Fethiye and decided to dine in this place in both nights after having such a fantastic experience in the first evening and didn't want to miss out the rest of the menu. All the dishes were amazingly delicious, consist of perfectly combined ingredients. I would say the cusine is mainly the European culinary with a great harmony of Turkish taste. One of the most worth-reviewing thing for a restaurant for me is to wake up with a happy stomach the next morning and this is what this place promises regardless of the amount of food you eat. (We ate a lot!) My favorite dishes are (i don't know the original names on the menu but I'll try to describe) the smoked cured fish with tartare spread and sour dough bread, octopus on rice, liver on hommus bed, very fresh and crunchy salads, seafood linguini (oww yummy), and the vongole(absolutely delicious!). They also serve generous complimentary dip w/ fantastic crunchy seeded crakers to start with. We also had lemon mess as a desert and for those who love really sweet taste, it is a well-balanced finishing of the lemon curd and the berries. I should certainly mention about the cocktails as well as it is not easy to find a real-cocktail maker in town. If you check the photo, you'll immediately get an idea about it's quality. Last but not least, me and my husband do thank the Seed crew who took care of us in both nights in such a lovely atmosphere that they created both with their manner and...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place as it has a great menu and is a break from the typical restaurant in Fethiye. Unfortunately our experience was hampered by incompetent and dishonest service. Firstly, I will say that the food was mostly really good so compliments go to the chefs who know what they’re doing. Despite booking in person the day before and specifying where we wanted to sit, when we arrived the staff told us we had to sit at another poorly positioned table that was hot with no ventilation, leaving us fumigated by the smokers, as all the other empty tables were “reserved”. Half way through our meal some walk-ins arrived and were given one of the tables we requested so clearly we were lied to. Red wine was served warm, also their wine list is rather poor and overpriced, the worst wine we had in 2 weeks in Turkey despite being over 1200 liras a bottle. When we asked for the bill it ended up being 1000 liras more than it should’ve been. It took 3 staff to correct it and we were not offered an apology or anything complimentary despite such a huge error. This restaurant has potential given the nice food but has plenty of issues to sort out especially given their premium pricing. My opinion is you’re better off going across the road to one of the many restaurants that has a beautiful sea view and in our experience an overall...
