Joy Restaurant and Lounge Bar — Restaurant in Fethiye

JOY, a place to truly enjoy ♡ JOY restaurant & Lounge bar is a sublime place to relax and enjoy..... sipping a cocktail (ask for the specialty, you will not regret it!) and watching the sun playing hide and seak with the mountains and sea in front of you and then slowly moving over to a cosy table under the olive trees to have a lovely dinner... Once you've been there, you just want to go back! Staff are all so friendly and helpful, which you need because choosing your mezes isn't an easy job: they are all so delicious!! Seafood meze with octopus (or ask for a grilled octopus leg, best I ever had) crab or shrimps (or take the mixed one if you want to taste it all), salad with aubergine (smokey is my favourite), fish meze, seagrass, courgette cookies, other veggies or crispy fried shrimps,  it's all there and there's plenty of choice for everyone. Together with homemade bread and a fine glass of wine (JOY has many Turkish wines and they are so delicate and tasteful) and followed by a (fresh!) fish from the grill, we can only say we really enjoyed being here. We've tried the Turkish breakfast and köfte (turkish meatballs) on other days that week and must say: it's all so tasteful!

Happy we discovered this peaceful (also very reasonable priced) place: It's located in the D-Marin marina. Little bit out of the small centre of Göcek. Just a 5-10 minutes walk along the coast and towards the pine trees, or follow the white service cars driving that direction or try to hop on if you can catch one ;-) Good to know that the marina is accessible to everyone, just pass the barrier or take the small walking path (yaya yolu) near the sea and you'll end up in...

SCAM SCAM SCAM!!! It was bad experience. When you sit down they come to you whit water and whiteout asking if you want it or not they put it in your glass so you assume its free. When asked for check you see this water on your check for about 2€, which you didn’t ask for and they didn’t ask if you want it or not. On top of that they put in check 10% of tips. Tips are something that client chooses if he wants,it should not come automatically on your check. So I didn’t pay for water neither did I gave them any tip, cause it’s about principles for me,not about money. Basically what they are doing is a scam,and it should be reported to the police! I gave tips for every restaurant I went during my holidays,except this one, cause they tried to charge me whit it, like I own them that. That’s a scam! Also portions of food are very small for this prices, especially when you compare it to other restaurants! Do not recommend them for anyone! I would report them for scam,but didn’t want to waste my time. Hope eventually someone does! Cause this kind of scam operators should not be tolerated by anyone! And also they wright check (total) on the one side of the paper writen whit hand (hoping you would not check other side...

Zeytin ağacının altında sessiz ve dingin bir mekan. Gelen insanlar kaliteli ve düzgün. Alışılmışın dışında kaliteli ve her şeyin layıkıyla yapıldığı muhteşem bir mekan.Yiyecekler de cok lezzetli, bilhassa levrek marin ,deniz salatası ve balık çorbası.Bazı günler tandır, balık çorbası gibi günlük yiyecekler çıkabiliyor. Bizim gittigimiz gün balık çorbası vardı ve tek kelimeyle lezizdi. Pizza ve hamburger de gayet başarılı. Pizzalar taş fırınında pişiyor bol malzemeli ve incecik hamuru ile servis ediliyor.Benim favorim şarküteri pizza ve Meksika’n pizzası oldu. Hamburgerin ise ekmeği yumuşacık leziz… Salatalardan da bademli-tavuklu salata tercihimiz oldu.Ana yemek olarak da dana bonfile tükettik. Et yumuşacık ve lezizdi.Bunların yanı sıra dondurmalar italya’da eğitim almış bir şef tarafından İstanbul’dan bu mekana geliyor.(No:23 Göcek)Benim favorim portakallı kurabiye ve orman meyvelisi oldu.Bunlara ek olarak limonataları inanılmaz güzel. Freş bir tat ve tam manasıyla anne elinden çıkmış gibi.Tatlı olarak da İncirli puding muhteşem. Kesinlikle tatmalısınız…Her şey o kadar lezzetli ki biz üç gün üst üste gelip farklı şeylerin tadına baktık.Mekanın sahiplerine gelince güler yüzlü ve sıcacık insanlar dahası misafir ağırlamaktan ve memnun etmekten mutluluk duyuyorlar.Göceğe gelince muhakkak uğranılması gereken bir mekan.Ülkemizin böylesi kaliteli ve işini hakkıyla yapan mekanlar ihtiyaçı var.Her şey harikaydı çok...
