Led by the enormous amount of great reviews, we decided to give this restaurant a try.
Although one might feel like you're very likely to get mugged anytime on the way to the restaurant in the shady and dark alleys, as soon as you step into the restaurant, the amazing ambience takes over. It is kept somewhat traditional, more South-Eastern Turkish and full of cute little lights.
The menu is very vast. There are many dishes and there are translations for non-Turkish speakers. I especially loved the Turkish 101 list of vocabularies and sentences for everyday life on the last page. One might want to rewrite the written pronunciation, though.
The food was absolutely delicious. I loved how it didn't seem rushy, as the delivery took some time. But all our dishes arrived at the same time (which is an absolute MUST for any good restaurant so everyone can start together) and were put in front of us in a very nice and inviting way. All of us were very happy with our choices. The dishes were very filling and they didn't jew around. What I found to be a bit annoying was that the "big" water bottle only contained 0,75 l.
Other than that, we also liked the cute little shop which had souvenirs, alcoholic drinks, olive oil and much more.
The prices are, as mentioned in many other reviews, extraordinarily high. No doubt about that. If they had only offered a çay one the house afterwards instead of charging that too, it would've been perfect. Would have also fit the Turkish culture.
Not a restaurant I'd go everyday to, as it is way too expensive for that, but one I'd have on my list of restaurants to go for at...
Read moreWe were frequent visitors and somewhat very pleased with the service and the food. Unfortunately, these last two years the quality has declined significantly. Our last visit, we couldn’t be seated because they didn’t have room for us and we were asked to make reservations beforehand.
We did so and revisited the place with reservation, but had to send food back couple of times because it was undercooked (chicken). Still the atmosphere was good and the service too.
This year we wanted to take our guest to the place for an authentic experience and called beforehand for a reservation. To our very surprise, this was not possible. The tone was very different and the service mindedness had disappeared completely. The reason is simple, tourism is back on track and they prefer walk-in costumers instead of reserving a table and by that missing out on potential revenue. Very unfortunate, because loyal costumers will return if treated right.
I would still recommend the place, but not nearly as much as I would have had in the past.
We hope Mosaic Garden will regain its integrity and level of quality as we...
Read moreMozaik was a welcome experience after surviving on the garbage vegan options that Fethiye has to offer. Beautiful atmosphere, I wish we would have gotten the opportunity to sit and eat at the floor table seating. The server was knowledgeable about vegan options. The homemade lemonade and ginger ale were refreshing. The hummus was some of the better hummus we've had in Turkiye. We ordered the vegetable kebab, which featured perfectly cooked and well- seasoned veggies. What would have made this a 5 star experience was if the bread that came with the hummus wasn't just a white loaf (I don't believe the more flavorful pita was vegan :( ) and if the kebab featured some sort of grain to make the meal a little more filling (rice would have been perfect). If you're in Fethiye and you're vegan, make this your spot. Seriously don't bother with any of the "restaurants" at Oludeniz, even the one with signs about being featured on Happy Cow. We had some of the lowest quality vegan food we've ever had there. ...
