Trio Restaurant Kalkan — Restaurant in Kaş

A mix grill for 2 people is 7000 tl!!! Ofcourse with the sides mezes but ....... They charged us 7000 tl equivalent to a 160 pounds! Absolutely discusting and a rip off. I understand people are struggling but that is day robbery!!! Everyone was nice till now in Turkey, till now that is! Who and how they justify such charge at such prices to visitors I don't know!! Never again! What you forget is it takes once and now I'm careful everywhere else and I check prices before I order. Trust is gone now. After paying you even said oh come tom I do u breakfast a nice one!! Like as if I'd fall for that lol like please guys that is double what it should be. We have family in Istanbul and in dalaman. We might not be turkish bit we have turkish relatives who LIVE in Turkey. Food was nice but not that nice! I've been to a 3 Michellen star restaurants with 2 people...

Last year Trio was one of if not the best restaurants we visited. This year although the presentation was still very good there were definitely issues. My Wife ordered a whole seabass and was disappointed overcooked sad looking fish plonked on a plate with some basic salad garnish which should have been the star of the show based on the upsell of fresh catch of the day. Beef ribs although tasty seemed to have been trimmed or sourced from a very small cow, I eat beef ribs alot at home and these didn't satisfy my hunger, the staff kept calling them lamb which was also concerning. Generally food was good but service was very inattentive, seems like all the charm was used up getting us through the door then they lost interest. Definitely not the flawless experience...

We stopped in Kalkan for breakfast. This place has lovely decor and a great location. We quickly realised the prices on the board outside were different and cheaper than the ones on the actual menus, obviously to bring people in. We ordered iced coffee which turned out to be 250 lira each (£6 approx equivalent) which is extremely expensive compared to other places in Turkey and even London. I ordered the sausage and egg on toast, which was very average. My partner ordered the Turkish sausage and egg which we were told came with pancakes but didn’t come with any and was very greasy.
