After chatting to one of the lads in the photo one morning we decided to give Nova a go. My wife and I booked a table for the following Friday night at 7.30. On arrival we were given a choice of table so we chose one with a cracking view. Unfortunately it was end of season and a cold wind blew across the terrace but it wasn't a problem as the attentive staff gave my wife a blanket - albeit a dog blanket but it did the job!
As we sat down with our complementary cup of soup with breads we decided upon our starters and mains. My wife had grilled goats cheese, followed by the stuffed calamari main. I had the garlic mushrooms then the delicious meat balls. All the food was amazing, served in good time and to a great standard.
The attentiveness of all the waiters and staff on site was second to none and the food was plentiful, well presented and tasted truly amazing.
It's not often I write reviews, but I do feel that Nova (and your staff) deserve this one as we both loved the experience and will be back on our return next year!
Thanks guys for making what could have been a bit of a cold breezy night gull of warmth and good laughs. See you all next year - don't...
Read moreWe decided to dine at 10pm, and unfortunately, the service left something to be desired. Our plates were brought to us, but the staff never returned to check if everything was to our satisfaction. On a positive note, they did start us off with a complimentary soup, but we were disappointed that the bread for the mezza was served cold.
It took a rather lengthy 14 minutes to place our order. I opted for the chicken sish kabob, which featured chicken breast, and while it was okay, it seemed to lack a certain level of seasoning or spice. My partner went for the grilled fish, which was slightly above average, but we both felt that an extra side dish would have improved the overall presentation – his plate looked rather sad with just grilled veggies, as you can see in the photo.
The restaurant did offer a nice view, and the next door restaurant had a live performance, allowing us to enjoy some music. If you find yourself in need of a last-minute, late-night meal, it's not a bad option, but it falls short of being the best. The staff was friendly, but a bit more attentiveness would have greatly enhanced the...
Read moreThe Nova restaurant in Kalkan was a truly amazing find. My girlfriend and I happened upon it while wandering back from a little walk along the seafront, when we bumped into a really friendly chap named Charlie who suggested we gave his place a try for dinner that evening and we’re so glad we did. From the moment we arrived all the staff were extremely friendly and we were made ever so welcome by everyone we encountered. The atmosphere was very relaxed while upbeat and the staff were super attentive. The food and drinks were also served to a very high standard and I would highly recommend the steak which was melt in the mouth and cooked to perfection. If you’re visiting Kalkan and looking for a top quality restaurant with amazing service then you should definitely give the Nova restaurant a try!! Thanks again guys!!...
