I really don't know which part of this restaurant I should talk about, it was way beyond my expectations. It made me experience firsts. Because I am a vegetarian and sometimes finding decent food outside is a big problem for me.
My first shock when I go inside and went to the sink to wash my hands. This is impossible to explain with words, so I will share the photo. They have more options then supermarkets about meanscare , deos , body mist , etc..
Also the welcome was really sincere and warm, it was obvious that the staff were selected from really qualified and they all exactly looks very good.
I saw in the menu, a vegan version of a dish made with eggplant, which is special to the Turkish region, this caught my attention. I had never tried it before but I took the risk and tried it and I'm glad I did. I'm not exaggerating but let me explain, if you ask how good the sauces used in a dish can be, here's the answer.
I want to say that maybe my dish was a luck, but my girlfriend tried something completely different (Kalkan Chicken) and she said , it was the best sauced dish she's ever try.
And finally, I can't stop without mention the dessert. Soufflé is a very difficult dessert, the sauce that flows out of it as soon as I take the first spoonful and I can only describe this deliciousness to said ,Wooouw.
This place really made me experience the firsts in my lifeI really thank you very...
Read moreThis restaurant was highly rated - perhaps because the vast majority of the clients were British tourists. Food was mediocre ( and as someone else mentioned before), a "Westernized" version of Turkish food. It was bland, oftentimes the meat was overcooked and underseasoned, the fresh fish of the day ( swordfish) was a bit dry, the lamb/chicken claypot lacked any hearty flavor and the meat was far from tender, and the appetizers were were measly and quite flavorless aside from the garlic shrimp. The Mantl was chewy and doughy, and the filling inside was protocolary at best, as the meat was almost nonexistent. The prices are really high for a restaurant with delayed service times where we had "I will always love you" blasted at us from loudspeakers for a birthday dinner the whole restaurant had to partake in while patiently waiting for our subpar food. The rating is... the result of mass tourism, not quality services or quality food. Disappointing, bland and expensive, would not recommend. It is definitely not worth the long wait you'll have to endure there as a...
Read moreThis place is a very nice traditional Turkish restaurant that has added a lot of class to it. I came here alongside my family (6 people total) and we had a very lovely meal! We had two elderly people who did indeed have trouble coming up the many flights of stairs but after the ascent, they were relaxed and the view definitely made up for it.
Going onto the food, it was very nice, high quality, and purposeful. Don’t just get something for your self, get some stuff for the middle like the shrimp, calamari, or the kuzu ciğer. My parents ended up getting some fish which they ended up enjoying. Also I’m gonna be honest when I say this, you will pay a lot when you eat here so you should just eat for the quality of the food and to be honest you should not try to cheap out here.
When it comes to languages, the guys do speak English fairly well but obviously if you can speak Turkish ( like us) it makes your life wayyyyy easier!
To see what some of the meals look like, check out the photos that I attached to the bottom!
