I grew up in Izmir before moving to the USA for college. During a recent visit, a dear childhood friend recommended Kasap Fuat’s Restaurant. From the food quality to the service, this restaurant would receive the highest rating of five stars.

To get into the restaurant section, diners walk through a butcher shop. Once you enter the restaurant, the boho chic decor takes you back to a period of Turkey that is long gone; dining tables and chairs that reflect the 20th century design and the old Izmir. We had a fantastic dining experience at this steakhouse! The meat was some of the best we've ever tasted—perfectly seasoned, tender, and cooked exactly how we wanted it. The ambiance really stands out, with beautiful antique decor and a cozy yet sophisticated vibe. The selection of Turkish music added a unique and calming touch to the atmosphere, making the entire evening feel special. Very good quality meat and fresh mezzes. The atmosphere is on spot for a hot night in Izmir with adequate fans outside and ac inside. Music is played from old vinyl records, giving it a distinct feel of old meyhane culture in Turkiye which nowadays is very scarce. Just be mindful of what you’re picking.
