Sevinç Pastanesi - Alsancak is a lovely spot to take a break and enjoy some classic pastries with a cup of tea. It has a charming, old-school patisserie feel, and the atmosphere is both cozy and lively, making it a great place to sit and soak in the vibe of Alsancak.
I tried their San Sebastián cheesecake, chocolate mousse cake (hope I got the name right!), and Turkish tea—all were quite nice and enjoyable. The cheesecake was creamy and rich, the chocolate mousse cake was decadent without being too heavy, and the tea tied everything together perfectly.
Language was initially a bit of a barrier, but thankfully, a kind old gentleman stepped in to help. He asked me what I’d like and, based on that, made some great recommendations, which made the experience even better.
