First time in Turkey and we were asked to go to the restaurant by the “promoter”. I always hate when this happens as it always looks like they’re struggling for business meaning the place is probably terrible, but this time my thought was very wrong. We had already had tea so had two drinks. He brought over the menu for us to look at, the menu looked really good so we booked for four days later. We payed a €20 deposit and they even came and picked us up in a fancy mini bus at no extra charge. They booked us in for 6PM as they said this was the best time to see the sunset over the harbour. We had one 250g King Prawn which was €37.50 but totally worth it, plenty of meat and very tasty. We also had the châteaubriand, this was €80 between the two of us, but could easily have fed 3/4 people, the meat was cooked to perfection and the veg/sauce was really good. The photo does not do this justice. Before we booked the restaurant I read the reviews and felt nervous because people said that staff are rude and it was very expensive. People are totally wrong!!! When the bill came they hadn’t taken off the €20 deposit, but I was happy for them not to and said that can be the tip as the service was amazing! Overall it cost us €155 for two alcoholic drinks, one soft drink, three starters (including the king prawn) and the châteaubriand, as well as the pick up from our hotel. We are definitely going to return next time we...
Read moreAbsolutely disappointed! All other restaurants greet you and make you feel welcome and appreciated your custom..not so here ! Was ushered to our seats (10 of us by the way) , had a waiter hovering over us to hurry us up to order . Drinks order was wrong..again and again! Food for the others was fine, mine may had been a poor choice for me. Service !!! Might as well had a flock of headless chickens running around TOTALLY USELESS!!. Overpriced for what it was, location is the only thing going for it. Just had 2 drinks eventually and mains got bill and left. They obviously didn't want a group of 10 to sit there most of the night spending a lot of money with them. All we got was " sorry we are very busy tonight. " Poor excuse . Have been here several times in the past and had a better experience. Shame! If you want to be treated like cattle then go . There are other restaurants in the area with FAR better manners and views and atmosphere and cheaper... go to any of...
Read moreMy wife and I had a walk around the harbour in side looking for some dinner and decided to stop here. The waiter that welcomed us at the entrance was polite and found us a table. To Start we had, cheese garlic bread and 200gr (this comes in to play later) of shrimps and calamari, along with a house wine and a spiced rum and coke. The sea food was lovely and fresh, the garlic bread was not great, no flavor. We decided to share a seabase fish, that came with potatoes and salad. The bill was €145 and €70 of that was for one fish and 6 potatoes, 3 each. Now back to the 200gr, all the seafood was by the grams which made working out the rice beforehand not very clear. The spiced rum and coke worked out to be around €14 and I was served local rum not captain morgans. All in all a nice meal but seemed hard work and over price, €35 for half a fish and 3 potatoes,...
