I have never been so disappointed in a restaurant and it's service in my whole life! It was our wedding anniversary night, when we were advised to book this restaurant through our love holidays tour operator called Ali. He had advised we would receive a pick up transfer from our hotel, 10% discount at the restaurant and a good and affordable meal. He showed us some photos of the location and so we decided to book for our anniversary dinner. We were so excited to go, however things went from bad to worse very quickly! Firstly, we were picked up by the wrong driver who took us to a different 'steak' restaurant. Luckily for us, it was next door to Liman restaurant which we had booked. As we already had a reservation, we walked to Liman and were greeted by the doorman who showed us the menu. We were shocked by the extortionate prices, but again we were advised we would receive 10% discount and they would not include service charges. Aytac, the manager confirmed this and also advised that we would have a transfer back to the hotel. We were seated at the table and greeted by a somelier (wine specialist) who was very nice and offered us a bottle of wine which cost £48 (one of the cheaper bottles). Shortly after giving us a glass, an insect went into my wife's full glass, so they took it away. I had to ask if they could kindly replace it, which they wouldn't have if I hadn't asked and then proceeded to give her a small replacement glass of a cheaper wine. We were then given the menu again and decided to have 2 starters including the burrata and the turkish meze dips. When they came, the presentation was good, but the dips were very average, and 2 of them were full of a horrible tasting cheese. They had also given us a basket of stale bread rolls. The burrata, on the other hand was good and the only dish we enjoyed. My wife then chose a salmon dish and I went to choose the lamb shank. Both were very poor quality and we struggled to finish the food. The portions were small, and the side condiments were not fresh. The lamb was 50% fat. We decided not to have desserts and at this stage wanted to leave. We asked for the bill and to our surprise they had not offered the discount and did not waive the service, which we had been promised by their manager called Aytac. Even the couple behind us said they had been promised the same. When we came to pay the extortionately expensive bill, he denied it completely and then proceeded to call our tour operator Ali, who also denied it. The bill cost us £150 pounds!! I must say it was really upsetting, as they ruined our anniversary night. My wife was very upset. At the end, we just paid the bill and wanted to leave. They did promise to take us back to the hotel, but even then they kept on telling us the transfer would be '5 minutes' and then '10 minutes.' We finished eating at 9pm and their taxi came at 10.15pm. It was a horrible experience and I would advise anyone never to book with this corrupt restaurant! They don't care about their customers. They don't keep to their word. it's all about filling their pockets!...
Read moreEarlier this week we had walked past Liman restaurant and we were offered free pick-up and transportation back to the hotel after dinner. This evening my family and I went to Liman restaurant to have dinner. Liman is supposedly known for lobster and dry age steak, so we decided we would go there for our last dinner in Side. Little did we know.. I have tried many variations of dry aged steak, and lobster is one of my favourite. I know a lot about what dry aged tomahawks should taste like, and it was easy to see that the lobster had not been fresh for a long time. at the time of ordering, they showed us what they called a dry aged tomahawk.. the steak was not dry aged.. if it was, they must have done it wrong. They claimed it had been dried for 28-30 days.. I also asked if the lobster was fresh. They promised me it was fresh.. at the end of the meal, we ended up letting them know what we thought of the meal. The steak was not dry aged. The lobster was NOT fresh. When we finished dinner I let the manager and the staff know all of my thoughts regarding the food. The restaurant was ridiculously overpriced!! For those prices we expected a quality meal. The managers offered 50% discount on the steak and the lobster, and told me our transportation was ready to take us back to our hotel. The time was at that point 18:00/6:00pm and as we were leaving, we were told that we would have to wait until 19:30/7:30pm for transportation back to the hotel.. i saved the trip to this restaurant for a whole week only to be so disappointed, ended up paying around 220 EUR after 50% discount on the steak and lobster :( I wish I could recommend this restaurant, but the only thing I can recommend is the bartender.. he made a good strawberry dacquiri...
Read moreTo begin with, the waiter assured us there were no nuts in the meal (lobster pappardelle). The menu also stated there were no nuts. The food came out, and it was coated in pesto. We sent it back and asked for a new dish that didn’t have pesto, upon arrival of the new dish we noticed that they had merely changed the plate and wiped it off, not remade the food. This was also clear in the fact it came out within 2 minutes. You could still very clearly see the green on the pasta and in the sauce. When we confronted the waiter AGAIN, he tried arguing with us and saying it was a new plate when you could clearly see the green remnants. We found the staff to be very rude and unprofessional, with clearly no knowledge of food intolerances in a hospitality setting. Nobody even apologised or offered any type of resolution, meaning my boy friend didn’t eat and nearly died as a result of pure laziness and incompetence. I also had the lobster pasta and didn’t even touch the lobster, as was unbelievably chewy and over cooked. The sauce was bland and just cream with a bit of cheese… definitely not worth the 50 pound! I would avoid at all costs especially those with food intolerances. Crazily extortionate prices that don’t match the quality of food, with ignorant staff who clearly do not care about the well-being of...
