Warning to fellow vegans! Nice greeting as we came in but not a soul insight. We were the only ones in. We were given a menu and they only had 2 vegan options, Schnitzel and Mushroom Falafel, after reading that this was “the best” for vegan options.. sorry, what?? Sat down and handed a menu, I asked if there was anything on the menu that could be adapted to be vegan - ie remove cheese, etc.. The guy came back and said we only have the schnitzel because even the falafel has egg in. So, now down to one option. We were then told to order from the QR code, cause the prices had changed. We were delighted to see that the prices had decreased, so that softened the blow of the lack of food we could have. Not 10 mins later, another member of staff came over to tell us the price has actually increased. I couldn’t be bothered at this point so just said yeah fine. I ordered the garden salad and specially requested just vegetables, no cheese or anything. My boyfriend ended up with the schnitzel. No one took our drinks order, so we had to wave someone down. Food came, the salad didn’t have lemon sauce on, it was literally a massive squeeze of lemon juice. So sour, inedible. I ate the cucumber and left the rest. The schnitzel came with some fried potatoes and onions but looked depressing, he enjoyed it anyway. We were so relieved the bill was only £19.88! Won’t be back.

Friendly waiters, but service was very slow and there was often a language barrier. Waiters didn’t even know the names of the dishes from their own menu in English. You would often have to chase for missing parts of your order. There was no order as to who got served first. Tables that had arrived after you often got their food before you. The set menu for hotel guests is extremely limited. Food served was often inconsistent or stale. One day you would have butter in your honey, in the Turkish breakfast. The next you wouldn’t. Drinks of any kind (including soft) are not included with the prepaid meals for hotel customers. The menu is all a la carte and breakfast literally consisted of 3 items to choose from - Turkish breakfast, eggs or pancakes. Portion sizes are small, we ordered numerous dishes at once. There’s a second menu for paying customers (a 10% discount is given to hotel guests), but that wasn’t much better. We chose half board - breakfast and dinner. Save your money and choose only breakfast. All of the menu options are generic European/British dishes. It’s a shame, as we expected tasty, Turkish food. The dolma from the lunch option was really good though! If we hadn’t paid for breakfast and dinner as part of our hotel package, we wouldn’t bother coming back.

The restaurant is a part of the Motto Hotel. There seems to be a 10% off for hotel guests (we were not staying at the hotel so couldn't use it). The ambiance is quite decent. Lighting is soft and the music is great blend of soft background music and entertaining oldies. The food is great if you take the advice of the waitress. She was super nice and steered us through better dishes. Both main dishes were amazing indeed. We will definitely come back here.
