Subject: A Shameful Decline in Quality at McDonald's Istanbul
I am utterly disappointed with the deplorable state of the McDonald's outlet in Istanbul. As a frequent customer and a traveler who often relies on fast food, it pains me to witness the steep decline in the quality of their offerings. Today, I must express my deep dissatisfaction with the appalling experience I had at your establishment.
First and foremost, the quality of the food is abysmal. The meat used in the burgers was clearly not fresh, emanating an unpleasant odor that made me lose my appetite. It is unacceptable for a renowned fast-food chain like McDonald's to serve such substandard ingredients.
Furthermore, the fries were incredibly tasteless, lacking any flavor that one would expect from well-prepared fries. The problem lies not only in the cooking process but also in the evident negligence in regularly changing and maintaining the cooking oil. The stale, reused oil has undoubtedly contributed to this tasteless mess.
The pre-prepared beverages were equally disappointing. Not only were they lacking fizz, but they were also devoid of any taste. It is bewildering how a global chain like McDonald's cannot even serve a simple drink properly.
Beyond the poor food quality, the service provided by the on-site staff was absolutely dreadful. They seemed indifferent and disinterested in their work, leading to slow and inefficient service. Customers deserve to be treated with respect and courtesy, which was entirely absent during my visit.
Adding to the litany of grievances, the cleanliness of the premises was alarming. Tables were unclean, trash bins were overflowing, and the overall hygiene was questionable. This is an affront to your customers' health and is a blatant violation of the basic standards any fast-food establishment should adhere to.
It is genuinely disheartening to witness such a renowned chain fall so drastically from its once high standards. I have been a loyal customer for years and have frequented McDonald's outlets all around the world, but this experience in Istanbul has shattered my faith in the brand.
I implore the management of McDonald's to take immediate action and address these pressing issues. Your customers deserve better, and it's a disgrace to see a once-great fast-food chain tarnished in this manner. If no improvements are made, I fear that the reputation of McDonald's will continue to suffer, and loyal patrons like myself will be forced to seek alternatives elsewhere.
I hope my feedback serves as a wake-up call, and steps are taken to restore the quality, service, and cleanliness of your McDonald's outlet in Istanbul. As of now, I am deeply disappointed and reluctant to return unless significant changes are implemented.

Read moreWater is cheaper if you order in Sbarro, I just checked. Tea is cheaper at other places too, I just don’t know how big the cup is. Tea is good though, they just don’t fill the cup to the brim, forget about the brim, the cup was like 2/3 full. The milk iced coffee was just milky liquid and ice. It tasted like tap water. I don’t remember if there was an option to customize it, but nothing could save it if I’m being honest. The prices are outrageous. I get it, we’re in an airport, but still, would it hurt to be reasonable? I also understand that nobody forces you to buy anything, but it’s almost as if they laugh at you, “you’re gonna pay the price we set anyways” type of behaviour. No one is smiling, the employees look lost, walking with trays, passing the same tables several times. I ordered 2 drinks and received one, when I asked where the second drink was, she said to go to a different place to pick it up. When I came to a different place the lady working there ignored me even though I was the only one standing. When I finally caught her I showed her the receipt and only then she started making a drink. Very poor customer service. Actually, this might be the worst airport I ever been to. I kept going from one place to another and each time felt more and more disappointed. I’m off to rate Burger King cause that place was even less than 1 star. 5 stars for the atmosphere in McDonald’s though. It smells disgusting at the gates and it’s suffocating on the food court so sitting at McDonald’s was amazing. Spacious and doesn’t smell...
Read moreWe were 4 people eating. Let me be clear: not all the staff were rude, but these two individuals demonstrated shockingly unprofessional behavior that should not be tolerated — especially in such a busy international airport setting.
I placed an order with table service, but only half of it was delivered. I had to ask multiple times for the missing items, including fries, sauces, and ice cream. After long delays, I still received the wrong number of items. When I pointed this out, one of the staff members acted annoyed and insisted I had everything, even though it was clearly not true. There was no apology or sense of responsibility.
Worse, when my mother tried to politely ask for the rest of the order, the male employee mocked her, saying she couldn’t speak English. When I replied that I do speak English, he answered sarcastically: “So do I.” This kind of attitude is incredibly disrespectful, especially toward an older person and a paying customer.
I understand that staff can have bad days — but that does not give anyone the right to take it out on customers. A bad attitude and lack of basic courtesy are unacceptable in any service environment, let alone at an airport.
Please take this complaint seriously and review the behavior of the individuals working at this location. It reflects poorly on your brand, and no one should be treated like this while simply trying to...
