Mophyz Churrasco Rodizio — Restaurant in Kampala

We have been to Mophyz last week Wednesday, 26-03-2025 and looked forward to having an original Brazilian Rodizio for dinner. As we entered the restaurant we started to wonder whether were the only customer at the time. A few minutes later, the staff explained to us about Rodizio and the way itll be served which we were told that it will be 16 different cuts costing 120K per person like shown in the menu and all one can eat for that rate. After a short while she returned and told us that only 5 cuts package costing 80K per person was available as apparently majority of the cuts are not been available. We agreed on the 5 cuts incl. of dessert and waited for the things to come.

Meanwhile we asked for a drink menu to choose some wine for dinner. The question for the drink menu was ignored and she showed up with some bottles of white wine, all with room temperature of about 25°C for us to choose from. We asked if the wine will be served chilled. The wine came kind of chilled finally as we had already been half way through with our dinner and surprisingly, the wine glasses were instead swapped for Champaign glasses for an unknown reason.

Also, the starters plates came with some prepared veggies where it was obvious that the carrots have had their best times already.

The Rodizio was way below our expectations as 2 pieces per cut were only served per person. “The all you can eat“ concept was totally ignored too. We asked for some more of the cuts but it was declined and we were told that was all we were to be served! To us it came off as a trap of them getting customers in with “An all you can eat“ concept and getting 16 different cuts provided but finally downgraded to 5 cuts incl. of dessert when it comes to the things which had been served on purpose.

It was for us a waste of time and money going there…just...

I came here for my 25th birthday and unexpectedly. There was literally nobody else in the restaurant usually that may be considered a red flag… But when I say the customer service was exquisite, everybody was extremely kind. The food was immaculate. Everything was nice and tender juicy flavorful… Even the staff and the management came out to celebrate my birthday with me we dance I cut my cake and pass it around and it was just a beautiful experience I will definitely be back…with more guests next time 😂❤️ they even went above and beyond making sure my Uber driver knew the exact location of my drop off If that’s not great customer service then I don’t know what the hell is?! thank you...

Hard to recommend really. The place was clean and we'll laid out and get staff were really friendly but the Standard menu is Ugx120k for (allegedly) unlimited meat but they serve it one or two small slices at a time and the salad bar was terrible. Chips and veggies extra. If I really want to spend 160k I really expect a decent amount of food. Plus when there's no beer and wine is 15k a glass for Four Cousins there are better options....pleasant but not gonna be a regular...
