The Alchemist Kitchen and Bar — Restaurant in Kampala

Alchemist is one of the longest serving bars along Bandali Rise Bugolobi ( Looking for a party street in Kampala, type that in Google maps😄)

The street stretches with over 7 bars and it's amazing how new places keep coming up. Anyway I have always loved Alchem and it's still a lovely place just that the crowd moved to the other new neighbouring bars. Was there with a couple of girlfriends afternoon to 10pm and the ambience is great for conversation. The drinks menu is friendly especially on the cocktails with some going for 15k and others 20k. I personally like strong cocktails and after 4 of them and still no heights I figured the price correlates with how much alcohol they Put. 🫠🤔

The food could have been better as the chicken wings I was served weren't fresh or Juicy but dry, another sign that I should maybe stop ordering for wings, Places seem to always get them off. 🤔 The service was available when we needed it...

If you are looking for one of the "GO TO" places in Kampala then look no further than The Alchemist. The restaurant is modern, trendy and even had a live DJ playing (music was at a good volume, not so loud that you need to shout to hear each other). I loved how the restaurant was decorated as well as the table layout, and they have a beautiful bar as a backdrop which had a nice selection of drinks including some high quality whiskies. The food was a good reflection of the restaurant, being very tasty and beautifully presented and the staff were friendly. Even if you just want to grab some drinks, then The Alchemist is the perfect option for you. I Liked the maximum privacy concept of the place, the Ambiance is good and clean, security is decent, easily accessible being near the road. The concept is outdoor, open shaded spaces, allowing leisure, private personal and short business meetings. Kudos to the chef, Meals were decent, some more could be done on the presentation and freshness of the vegetables but in all good. The food and beverages prices are affordable..
