We had dinner at Kadoura Restaurant – Fish Market in Abu Dhabi, and from the very beginning the experience was truly outstanding. Booking was simple, and upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the manager Ahmed Gaafar, whose gracious hospitality and attention to detail immediately made the evening special. The setting is simple yet welcoming and well cared for, with spacious seating and a pleasant atmosphere that allows you to fully enjoy the meal. The concept of the fish market, where guests can directly select from the day’s fresh catch, makes the experience both authentic and engaging, offering a genuine taste of local culinary tradition. Service was impeccable: the staff were kind, efficient, and always ready to explain the dishes and suggest the best combinations. The timing of the courses was perfectly managed—neither rushed nor slow—so that everything felt natural and relaxed. The menu, centered on fresh seafood, is both varied and of excellent quality. The dishes we chose stood out for the freshness of the fish, the perfect cooking, and the thoughtful presentation, all while maintaining the simplicity that best enhances the authentic flavors of the ingredients. Small details made the experience truly memorable: lemon wedges wrapped in gauze to prevent seeds from scattering when squeezed, the unusual but delightful gesture of a proper hand washing at the end of the meal (far more pleasant than the typical moist towelette), and finally, a flawless mint tea served as the perfect conclusion. I was a bit unsure on how to rate this experience as it's split into two parts. There is the horrible part where we had to wait in this humid and very hot weather as a family of 10 people for an hour and a half because they didn't inform us they had a waiting list system. We tried to reserve beforehand fully knowing that our party will never be seated otherwise but they didn't have that so we had to literally wait for an hour and a half. And the treatment of one of the staff members was quite obnoxious and underhandedly rude which made that part just generally horrible. And then there is another part which is the food. The food was really good and the fish was fresh and their sauces were really good however does it really make up for the service and the atmosphere? or lack thereof? well, not really. Especially since when we did finally get seated, they had an issue with the AC so it was very hot and humid still and the AC was dripping on us and on the food. I'd recommend this restaurant establishes a reservation system especially on weekends. And maybe some maintenance will go a very long way in improving the...
