Kababs & Kurries Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in Abu Dhabi

I love the kebab and kurries outlet near the WTC mall in AD. So went in boldly to dine at this outlet.

We ordered butter chicken, malai kofta and Murgan malai tikka. The best was the malai kofta. The butter chicken was a bit hard to cut. The malai tikka was disappointing as the WTC outlet sells such yummy kebabs but probably we weren’t lucky. The rotis Though very pricy at AED 11 on average were really yummy we tried butter naan chilli garlic naan (too good) and crispy tandoori roti also nice.

The mango lassi was just Almarai mango juice for AED 20 in a small glass. They didn’t even bother whipping it as it appeared to have been poured straight out of the bottle. For dessert we tried the kulfi but it wasn’t to our liking either it wasn’t frozen for one. And the falooda on it was a tasteless decoration.

We asked for normal bottled water but they had only Chile’s bottles which was a misnomer. The papads were fried they should instead provide roasted papads. Who eats fried ones these days.

The service was good however a bit slow given that we were the only ones dining on a sat evening. delightfully ADCB card holders get 15% off...

Pani Puri - 10 puris, 3 different dips, spicy potatoes and tamarind water. I loved the way it was packed in a small plastic bottle. Which was secured and didn’t spill.

Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani - I am always searching for a good biryani that actually tastes good. This one hits the spot. I could smell the charcoal flavor as soon as I opened the lid. Biryani is served with mint sauce and salad. There was also a small container with gravy and plain yogurt.

Chiken Tikka Masala - Boneless pieces of chicken in a rich tomato sauce. Curry also had green and yellow peppers.

Assorted Bread Basket - 4 different types of Naan. You can pick any four you like. I got the plain, garlic and butter naan. The Lachha paratha was made with whole meal flour. Each Naan was packed individually in silver foil.

I ordered Hyderabadi biriyani for family on 17-April-2021 and was delivered on time. But to my surprise the hyderabadi biriyani was redish in color due to the fact that they have added red color in the rice which stands out. I haven't seen such a hyderabadi biriyani earlier even after eating hyderabadi biriyani from hotels in hyderabad and bangalore. Apart from it the chicken piece included was tikka pieces with burnt sides. Overall it was a pathetic...
