Oasis Gardens — Restaurant in Abu Dhabi

Hugely Disappointed with the staff.

I have often lunched here during my office hours with my team and liked their dishes.

Today I brought my family for lunch on a weekend. We were a family of 5 including 2 small kids.

It was 3 pm on a Saturday. There was no office rush. Entire Restaurant was empty. Not a single customer.

Hence, we requested for a slightly bigger table, which also had better light, so that we can sit comfortably with small kids.

The same staff who has seen me previously was totally adamant that I will have to only sit on a table in a dark corner which he is alloting.

There was not a single customer. No request or argument will work on him. It was so disappointing especially since I came with my family.

We decided to leave without lunch and the worst, he simply did not care.

I have never seen this anywhere that restaurant staff forcing a big family to sit uncomfortably caring 2 hoots about the loss of business.

It seems that reason for this staff apathy is because they simply do not care about the restaurant. My advice to the owners to investigate what's going on? If required, do some training of the staff or get better trained staffs.

The worst delivery experience I ever had in my life! I usually order fried rice and crispy chicken from them because they’re tasty. But last night I waited for almost 2 hours after placing my order! Imagine the waiting time I have to endure to sustain the hunger I have! I ordered at 8:27pm thru zomato, and the app says estimated arrival of the foods is on 9:17pm. I called oasis and they assured me the delivery boy is on its way. The delivery boy just missed call me, so I called back and he said he’s near my place. It’s already 9:30pm and I wondered what happened. So I contacted zomato thru chat and the zomato staff tried to contact oasis. To cut the story short the the food arrived at 10:05pm! The delivery boy was in a hurry to leave... he just said sorry and left right away... no explanation whatsoever. I won’t order from them again... i called oasis they never even said sorry ... i said it’s past bedtime and they are very late but no remorse from the inconvenience they caused. I felt insulted like they are sadists who just want to piss one of their customers...

This is one of the Indo-Chinese restaurants I like to visit with my family and friends. I went there on October 1st to enjoy a bowl of Hot and Sour Chicken soup and some chicken fried rice.

Hot and Sour Chicken Soup and Chicken fried Rice: Both dishes were good and met my expectations for Indo-Chinese cuisine, though they aren’t authentic Chinese.

Ambiance: The restaurant's ambiance is quite dated, and it really needs renovation. The restroom door also requires attention as it's damaged from mold and other issues.

Service: The staff were prompt and efficient.

ZomatoI've noticed that when Zomato customers request the bill, the total sometimes seems inflated to compensate for the discount. I've seen this happen 2-3 times, though I'm not sure why.

Overall: Oasis Garden Chinese Restaurant is an established spot with decent Indo-Chinese food that should satisfy the expat crowd, but it definitely needs...
