👍 What works well
Food & Flavor The menu is popular for its South Indian / Tamil-vegetarian style offerings: dosas, uthappams, idlis, curries, and rice dishes. Many reviewers praise the food as flavourful, fresh, and satisfying. People often mention favourites like the Masala Dosa, Onion & Tomato Uthappam, and Idly Set.
Value for Money One of the strongest points is how affordable VegMe is. Patrons feel they get generous portions without paying premium prices. For example, an average price for two people is around AED 80. This makes VegMe a go-to spot for someone looking for a vegetarian meal that fills and doesn’t hurt the wallet. Many appreciate that affordability.
Atmosphere & Convenience It offers a casual, friendly dining environment, good for both regulars and newcomers to vegetarian food. It works both for dine-in and takeaway. People like that there is a full breakfast / tiffin menu plus more standard lunch/dinner items. Also, open late until midnight helps for varied Service & Timing During peak hours, many reviews say the place gets crowded and the service slows down. Some items run out quickly (curries, etc.), so availability can be inconsistent.
Food Temperature / Consistency A few patrons complain that some dishes arrive lukewarm or not as hot as expected. Also, there are occasional remarks about certain items, such as idli or upma, being less fresh. While many like the casual atmosphere, some believe the interior could be cleaner or more carefully maintained. Also noise or crowding during busy times can affect comfort. Though this is a common trade-off in eateries that are busy and budget-oriented.VegMe Restaurant in Ajman delivers solid, tasty vegetarian / South Indian food at great value. If you don’t mind a casual setting and occasional delays during busy hours, it’s a very good choice—especially if you want flavor and quantity without paying high prices. It’s less ideal if you prioritize upscale ambience or flawless consistency, but for everyday meals, it’s...
Read moreI have been a regular customer at this South Indian Tamil restaurant located conveniently behind LuLu. This spot has become one of my go-to places whenever I crave authentic Tamil vegetarian food. It offers a traditional South Indian dining experience with a slight modern twist, which makes it stand out from other typical restaurants.
The food here is consistently good in taste, and the pricing is very affordable, which is great for families, working professionals, and students. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick breakfast or a relaxed dinner, the service is always super fast and efficient. They really value your time, which I appreciate a lot, especially during busy mornings.
The restaurant is owned by the Nesto Group, which ensures a certain standard of quality and cleanliness. Despite the high footfall, especially during breakfast and dinner hours, the staff manages the crowd well and maintains cleanliness inside the dining area. It’s always bustling with people, which shows how popular and trusted the place is among locals.
The dosas, idlis, pongal, and filter coffee are must-tries here. The consistency in taste over time has kept me coming back again and again. Keep up the good work and wishing more success...
Read moreI am extremely disappointed with the experience I had at Veg Me Restaurant in Ajman today. My family and I drove all the way from Sharjah to have breakfast at our favorite restaurant, but our visit was ruined by the rude behavior of one of the food servers, Mr. Venkatesh.
We were a group of 8 people sitting outside due to the lack of available tables inside. After waiting for a long time, I politely asked Mr. Venkatesh to come take our order. His response was extremely disrespectful, telling us to come inside if we wanted food. This made us feel insulted and unwelcome.
Additionally, it was frustrating that none of the staff could communicate in a language we were familiar with like English, Hindi, or Urdu. It seemed as though they assumed everyone in the UAE is Tamilian and only spoke in Tamil to us.
Previously, Veg Me Restaurant was one of our favorite vegetarian restaurants, but after today's experience, it has become one of the worst dining experiences of my life. I sincerely hope that this feedback reaches the management and that appropriate action is taken to address the behavior of Mr. Venkatesh and improve the overall customer service at the...
