TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE

Update based on your reply: Stop trying to find poor excuses for low-level service and low-quality food, you haven’t even bothered to contact the customer, Instagram is not the professional way of how this situation should be handled, particularly because I have already mentioned twice during the breakfast to two different team members about my unsatisfactory breakfast and nobody seemed to care, just ignorance.

First, there is no excuse for not having brown sugar considering all the other tables had it, it was a mistake from your staff since it was more important the quantity of the customers instead of the quality and following the standard SOP. About the salt & paper, there is no excuse for receiving an empty jar, even upon request, and receiving a good one only after highlighting it twice to one of your staff members.

Second, I have not received the menu as described and your staff seemed he had more important things to do with other customers, rushing us and leaving to another table, shame on you. Furthermore, now that you have mentioned it, I have not received any eggplant shakshuka, and nobody bothered to come even once and refill our plates, I didn’t even know it’s refillable, but it seems you are full of surprises which unfortunately, you have informed me just now, not during the visit.

Third, the spinach gozleme is not about the preference, I’m not a newbie to the Turkish culture, so please don’t continue to fool me around, it was low-quality spinach, tasteless with a hint of mold.

Fourth, your staff didn’t bother to inform or explain about any item in the menu, they seemed more interested in other customers, so your training seems to lack.

Fifth, there is no excuse for the fly, no matter what, it’s a health hazard and you should make sure that it’s not happening.

Sixth, your staff didn’t bother to ask or double-check about the quantity of the simit, we were surprised to see a charge of 2 simits on the bill, without even being previously asked about it, so again, stop making poor excuses.

P.S. Your hospitality is not Turkish at all and even worse, most of your staff doesn’t speak Turkish and doesn’t value and follow the real Turkish hospitality.

• The initial comment review:

At Çeşme Bazlama Kahvaltı in Dubai, my experience was regrettably below expectations, suggesting that a visit here might not be worthwhile. The restaurant missed several basics, including the absence of brown sugar and salt & pepper on the table—essentials that were only provided upon request, with the salt dispenser, unfortunately, being empty. Additionally, the breakfast set menu was not served as described; several items were missing and only arrived after I brought this to the attention of the staff towards the end of my meal (potatoes dish).

The quality of the dishes themselves also left much to be desired. The spinach pie had a strange taste that was hard to enjoy, and a pink appetizer unexpectedly contained garlic, which was not indicated on the menu—a critical detail for those with dietary restrictions like myself. Moreover, finding a fly in a yellow appetizer dish further diminished the dining experience, raising concerns about cleanliness. At the beginning of the visit, my partner (Turkish) inquired about the simit in the breakfast menu and surprisingly, it was not included in a set menu which usually is a standard for the Turkish breakfast, so additionally we were charged for extra 2 simits, without even being initially asked if we want 1 or 2 pieces. Overall, these issues combined to create a disappointing visit, along with a very noisy background due to the people shouting in the venue, so I wouldn’t recommend this place and most probably we will not return, there are several other places which provides better services and breakfast menu aligned with the real Turkish...

A mouthful of a name with a mouthwatering menu:

Before I begin, I must confess that this review may contain some bias, as I am an extended family member. So, I’ll just speak from the heart and hopefully that will do justice for readers.

After 4 visits to Bazlama, I can honestly say that this authentic Turkish breakfast/ brunch spot consistently serves rich and diverse flavours in various cuisines set in a vibrant family atmosphere. It’s tucked away in a nice quiet spot in Jumairah, which sort of gives it a cozy aura.

I won’t get into how our table is always greeted, naturally. However, I will comment on how others were greeted and served.

Once you step in you can see the hustle and bustle of servers and bakers and guests everywhere. Lots of happy faces eating a lot of comforting food. The decor is fresh and the bougainvillea painted on the walls is a nice nod to nature.

The owners are in the restaurant at the entrance of the place and at every table making sure everyone is having a pleasant experience and that their set menu orders (with some specials) arrive on time. The place is always packed on the weekends. So, I can only imagine the challenge.

Complementary tea and freshly baked goods are served right away once you sit down. You can even see the baker doing her best work whilst you enjoy your meal and the bright atmosphere.

Now let’s get to the essentials:

The place is clean. Mind you, we are a family of hypochondriacs and germaphobes. So I wouldn’t say a statement like that for nothing.

Parking: it’s okay, but do use the complimentary valet. That’s a great alternative.

Seating: tables and seats are comfy and you can stay for hours if you’re not careful, but we always try to be considerate of other visitors. So, we always eat and get going.

Dishes: There are vegetarian options, but this is predominantly a carnivore’s haven. I’m not big on meat so I’ll highlight my top picks mostly veg, but one meat:

Eat that veg and cheese board and all the dips on it ( chilly jam, pomegranate jam, honey and Turkish cream). order all the Semit you can, because it’s the best in town. I’m part Turkish. And anyone with a little Anatolien in them is a starch freak. So take my word for it.

I love the Sucuk. I always order it with sunny side up eggs (meat-based)

All the burek… eat all of the options

Never skip the Pisi bread with hazelnut Tahini… this will give your regular doughnut a run for its money

Charred potato’s with peppers

Don’t be shy to ask for special orders. They’ll oblige as best they can

My 6-year-old loves the pancakes

Go there hungry with lots of family or large group of friends. Get ready to split the bill. It’s not expensive but it’s not...

Çeşme Bazlama Kahvaltı – A Corner of Türkiye in the Heart of Dubai

If you’re looking for real Turkish hospitality, a cozy atmosphere, and authentic flavors of Turkish cuisine you absolutely must visit this restaurant. It’s not just a place to enjoy delicious food it’s a full cultural experience filled with warmth, tradition, and emotion.

Service Top Level The service at Çeşme Bazlama Kahvaltı is truly outstanding. Special thanks to Mehmet, the manager a true professional who genuinely cares about each guest. He doesn’t just manage he lives this place: warmly welcoming guests, paying attention to every detail, and always finding a personal approach. This level of service is a rare gem, even among Dubai’s finest restaurants.

Cuisine The Taste of Turkey in Every Bite The menu is rooted in traditional Turkish cuisine, and every dish feels like a warm return home. Special praise for the Gözleme with potatoes, greens, and cheese it’s absolutely perfect. This is the only restaurant in Dubai where it’s made authentically: thin dough, rich filling, flawless presentation. And the Turkish tea simply exceptional. Strong, flavorful, and served in traditional style just like in the best tea houses of Istanbul and Izmir.

Atmosphere & Location The interior is carefully curated, down to every detail from the tableware to the music. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making you feel like you’re not in Dubai, but enjoying a peaceful Turkish breakfast in Çeşme. It’s ideal for families, couples, or friendly gatherings.

Conclusion: Çeşme Bazlama Kahvaltı is more than just a restaurant it’s a piece of Türkiye in Dubai. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team, and especially to Mehmet, for the genuine hospitality, quality, and soul you put into everything. I’ll definitely be back and I’ll recommend this gem to...
