Dear Cipriani team,
I hope all is well,
I am writing to you today to explain a bad experience I had at Cipriani Dolce Jumeirah on 12th&13th of January 2024, while I was seated yesterday the supervisor Ahmed from Turkey, approached me without any introduction saying “ I need the table” when we asked why he explained the policy of the table is 2 hours I believe the appropriate approach would be to clarify this to every customer before seating them and to have a better attitude when asking the client to leave not kicking the out.
That being said today the 13th Jan I had a guest that left the table and I had another meeting with another group I was seated on the table for less than an hour when the second group arrived, after that the same supervisor approached us with a sarcastic smile so I told him please don’t give me yesterdays attitude and we are still sitting on the table he said no our policy is 2 hours he left and the waiter said we can sit ( because she knows we’re regular customers that come on daily basis and nobody cares about how much we spend however I will still point out that it’s never just one cup of coffee ) so then he says next time I will not give you a table and he asked the waiter to give us the check without us asking I don’t find this an appropriate attitude in hospitality and it’s definitely unacceptable. The waiter was embarrassed when she asked us if we wanted the bill and we answered no why should she apologize for his bad behavior.
The reason I took the time to write is solely because I’ve never ever experienced this at any other branch of cipriani and I must say every single person I’ve come across that ever served me was nothing but pleasant. This was explained to me as "not being part of our standards," which, frankly, undermines the level of service that Cipriani is known for.
