Read moreOne of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had.
We were a group of four and went for lunch at 4 PM (first day of Eid). We ended up spending over an hour and a half just waiting for our food.
The service was extremely poor, even though the restaurant was almost empty, so they had no excuse of being busy. No one paid attention to us for a long time.
One of the waitresses eventually approached us, and when I told her we were ready to order, she said, “Go ahead.” I asked if she needed to write it down, but she insisted she could remember everything. I thought, “Let’s see.”
They started by serving the hot appetizers: fattoush, hummus, sujuk… but each dish came out one by one, with about 30 minutes in between. I had to keep asking for spoons so we could serve ourselves, obviously, we didn’t want to all use our own forks in shared dishes.
After a full hour of frustration, one of the Egyptian waiters, Ahmad, finally stepped in and saved the situation. Thanks to him, the main courses were served more quickly: mixed grill and Halabi kebab.
Unfortunately, the Halabi kebab was cold and soggy. We asked for it to be reheated, but it came back with just one kebab on the plate. When Ahmad checked again, I told him we were still waiting for the arayes. That’s when we found out the waitress had completely forgotten to include it in the order.
They told us it would take even more time to prepare, but at that point, we were already frustrated and had lost our appetite from all the waiting.
I want to sincerely thank Ahmad and the manager who tried to fix things by apologizing and offering a free dessert. But unfortunately, the damage was done, the entire...
Read moreI recently ordered a delivery from Al Hamra Street Restaurant, and I am thrilled to share my delightful experience. The variety of dishes I tried surpassed my expectations, both in flavor and presentation.
I ordered the chicken liver, meatball khashkhash, lamb chops, moussaka, kebab khashkhash, halloumi, and Lebanese shawarma. Each dish was absolutely delicious. The chicken liver was tender and well-seasoned, while the meatball khashkhash was more like a calzone/covered pide. It was delicious but different from what I had expected, adding an interesting twist to the meal. The lamb chops were succulent and cooked to perfection, and the moussaka was rich and comforting, with layers of flavor that made every bite enjoyable.
The kebab khashkhash was another highlight, with juicy, flavorful meat that paired wonderfully with the accompanying sides. The halloumi was grilled to a perfect texture, and the Lebanese shawarma was packed with savory goodness, making it a true standout.
In addition to the fantastic food, the packaging was impeccable. Everything arrived hot and fresh, with no spillage or mess. The attention to detail in the packaging ensured that each dish was presented just as beautifully as it would be in the restaurant.
Overall, my delivery experience from Al Hamra Street Restaurant was exceptional. The delicious food, combined with the perfect packaging, made for a memorable meal at home. I highly recommend their delivery service and look forward to...
