Title: A Taste of Beirut in the Heart of Dubai!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

As a proud Lebanese who cherishes the rich culinary heritage of Beirut, I was beyond thrilled to discover Barbar, the iconic Lebanese restaurant that has recently opened its doors in Dubai. From the moment I stepped inside, I was transported back to the vibrant streets of Beirut, where the aroma of freshly baked manakish and sizzling grilled meats fills the air.

The ambiance at Barbar is warm and inviting, adorned with traditional Lebanese decor that perfectly reflects the culture. The staff is friendly and attentive, providing excellent service that made my dining experience even more delightful. I felt right at home as I perused the extensive menu, which features a mouthwatering array of authentic Lebanese dishes that I have come to love and miss.

I began my meal with their famous hummus, which was creamy and flavorful, paired with warm, fluffy pita bread that transported me back to family gatherings in Lebanon. I also couldn’t resist ordering the tabbouleh, which was fresh and vibrant, bursting with the unmistakable taste of fresh parsley and mint.

For the main course, I indulged in the grilled chicken skewers and the mixed grill platter, both perfectly marinated and cooked to perfection. But the highlight of my meal was undoubtedly the Lebanese burger. This unique creation boasts a juicy patty seasoned with spices that are reminiscent of home, topped with tahini sauce, pickles, and fresh vegetables. Every bite was an explosion of flavors that reminded me of summer nights in Beirut.

What truly sets Barbar apart is its commitment to authentic Lebanese cuisine while offering a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re dining in a beloved family member's home back in Lebanon. I cannot recommend this gem enough – whether you're a Lebanese expatriate like myself or someone eager to explore the wonders of Middle Eastern cuisine, Barbar is a culinary must-visit in Dubai.

Thank you, Barbar, for bringing a piece of Beirut to the UAE! I can’t wait to return and introduce my friends to this delightful...

I finally made it to Barbar, the famous Lebanese street-food spot everyone keeps talking about. I went to the Hessa Street branch late at night (because, well, it’s open 24/7, and that’s a rare luxury in Dubai). Even at 11 pm, the place was buzzing—families, delivery guys rushing in and out, and the unmistakable smell of fresh bread and grilled meat in the air.

I ordered a mix of their classics: a chicken shawarma, falafel, and a zaatar & cheese manakish. The shawarma was exactly what I hoped for—juicy chicken, just the right kick from the garlic sauce, and perfectly wrapped in soft bread. The falafel was hot and crunchy on the outside, fluffy inside, and tasted fresh rather than oily. The manakish came straight from the oven, still steaming, with the cheese melting into the zaatar—simple but incredibly satisfying.

Service was quick considering the crowd. The staff were friendly and patient despite the constant stream of orders. The place itself is more functional than fancy—bright lights, fast-food energy, and a bit noisy—but that’s part of the charm. It feels like the kind of place where you pop in for comfort food rather than a long, quiet dinner.

The only downside was parking—it took me a couple of loops around the block to find a spot. But once I sat down with my food, it didn’t...

Excellent!

Tried Barbar today, pick up order. I think that the overall experience was a very positive one 😃 I was worried about getting stuck for ages at store because of the shear number of ppl, but all went well. My wife was driving and she waited for me in the car while I went in to order and that helped a whole lot, parking is very difficult.

Anyway, went in and it was really busy but everything was very well organized. A clear line for ordering and another for pickup. The line for ordering moved very fast. once I reached the counter, placing the order and paying took less than two minutes. Name and phone number are taken to expedite the pickup process.

Ordered 14 sandwiches and a shawarma platter. It took a total of 20 minutes to take my order. What did we think?

Chicken shawarma: awesome! Excellent balance of all flavors Beef shawarma: tasty but a bit over seasoned Pulled chicken: excellent Rosto: excellent Steak sandwich: a bit bland Chinese chicken sandwich: excellent Beef shawarma platter: excellent, but a bit over seasoned as above Philadelphia: excellent

Overall an excellent restaurant with a mega list of very tasty sandwiches that satisfy every taste 🥪 😋 Big...
