Cloud 22 Dubai — Restaurant in Dubai

I had high hopes for Cloud 22 when it first opened up, unfortunately, it’s a huge letdown. Buyer beware, save your money, and get a much better and more luxurious pool experience at Aura Skypool (from experience).

With its upscale Dolce & Gabbana theme and steep prices, one would anticipate top-notch service and exceptional food. Unfortunately, the reality was the opposite.

The service was significantly subpar. Servers are definitely undertrained. The food was a huge disappointment. We started by trying the beef sliders and fries, and to put it plainly, I’ve had better at fast-food restaurants. Disgustingly overcooked burgers. Fries without any flavor. We couldn’t wait to leave to order some real food somewhere else.

The biggest scam however is the false advertising. Their website (picture attached), our tickets and all staff told us that they close at 8 PM. So we booked the sunset experience since it gives breathtaking views of the palm at night, a perfect backdrop for photos. We were prematurely asked to leave the pool at 7 PM, in the midst of taking pictures. Then they said “the pool closes at 7 but you can stay on your chair till 8”. So much for a “pool” experience. Simply need to adjust your website not my expectations.

For anyone in search of a premium pool experience with breathtaking views, I’d suggest considering Aura Skypool instead. I went there before before coming here for the sake of trying something new. Unlike Cloud 22, It’s a 360 degrees infinity pool, so you have much more space to take pictures. You get to see all of Dubai and the palm, you’re on the 50th floor instead of the 22nd, better palm views, way better service, you actually get what you pay for and a more satisfying...

I visited Cloud 22 today from 7:00 PM to 10:30 PM and honestly, it was a disappointment. Having previously been to Aura Skypool Dubai, comparisons are inevitable… and Cloud 22 clearly falls short.

From the moment we arrived, the difference was obvious: at Aura, every sunbed is prepared with an elegant bag containing slippers, a cap, playing cards, and other thoughtful touches. At Cloud 22, nothing was set up. I had to ask for slippers, and although they brought them for both my wife and me, it shouldn’t have been necessary in a venue that claims to be high-end.

Accessing the changing rooms was another negative point: the men’s door was nearly impossible to open, and the space inside was very tight. The same happened with the women’s area. No one was there to guide or welcome us. The towels were of poor quality and barely dried, and the pool water temperature felt cold – not what you’d expect.

The view, which should have been a highlight, was just average. Nothing compared to the breathtaking views at Aura. I paid 850 AED for an experience that was simply not worth it.

The interior of the hotel is beautiful – even spectacular – and the service was decent, but overall Cloud 22 does not deliver the luxury it promises. Even the bathroom floor was wet, which should never happen in a place of this category.

Our experience at Cloud 22 was nothing short of amazing! Although the food and cocktails can be on the expensive side, they occasionally offer complimentary upgrades. We had booked sunbeds, but to our delight, were upgraded to a luxurious double bed at no extra cost—such a thoughtful touch!

The venue boasts three beautiful public pools. One is located at the back, offering stunning ocean views, another is near the bar, and the main infinity pool provides breathtaking views of the city skyline. Each pool offers its own unique vibe, and you’ll never run out of incredible views.

We chose the midday package, arriving after 14:00 and staying until 19:00. This allowed us to experience Cloud 22 in three different lights—during the bright afternoon, the golden hour of sunset, and the dazzling night when the venue lights up beautifully. It felt like we got three experiences in one!

What made the atmosphere even more special was the live DJ, whose music perfectly suited the vibe of the day. The beats added a unique touch, making the whole experience even more unforgettable.

An added perk is the ability to walk around the first floor of Atlantis The Palm and book a cup of coffee in the lobby. The view from there is magical, with the beach, fountains, and guest house creating a beautiful scene in the backyard of the resort.

All in all, Cloud 22 is a fantastic place to relax, enjoy luxurious amenities, and soak in the views, making it well worth the price. Highly...
