Apart from one of the hostesses on the ground floor being a little unfriendly, this place is AWESOME!
Seriously, this place is such a vibe. It sets a very lively mood once you take the elevator up to the 22nd or 23rd floor I believe, and you can already hear the music just pumping through. So, do bear in mind that it can be slightly difficult to have private, or whispered conversations in this restaurant.
The theme, as you can probably tell, is quite pink, but not the annoying kind (Fellas! You know what I mean). My assumption, is this color scheme was picked because, and I quote, "Ling Ling means Good Girl". The overall decor though is fantastic. The table setup, and the distance between each table is nicely measured so you don't feel "crowded". The views out the window are just jaw dropping! You get a vista window (No pun intended) to The Palm. You also have these LED panels all over the restaurant that give you a neon utopian feel, and if you opt for a table in the lower floor, you have this big tree in the middle (i.e. As shown in a photograph taken below) that's just phenomenal. The place is just... Cool!
The staff?
Amazing staff! Simply wonderful. Beautiful smiles, very cheerful, super fun, and funny. Great recommendations given by them from their extensive, and expensive menu (Your wallet will be taking a hit on this one).
The important part. The food.
You know, the biggest mistake you can make, is going to a nice restaurant for dinner after a heavy lunch. Unfortunately, that was the case for us... but that didn't stop us from LOVING EVERY SINGLE BITE! Seriously, we ordered a variety of things, and nothing was bad! We just had different levels of "good". The thing I would rank the lowest, despite it being tasty nonetheless, was the Duck Bao Bun. There was a bit too much dough, and little duck, but it was still delicious! The highlight of the food for me personally was the Kung Pao Chicken, which was not photographed because we literally felt full, and requested for it to be a takeaway. Seriously, the food traveled back with us on a four hour drive, was kept for the next day for lunch, and still tasted fantastic!
I will advise however, the paper boxes they give you for your takeout food is abysmally poor. I would highly recommend, especially for dishes with sauces/curries, that the food is given to customers in something a bit more rigid, like a plastic container for instance.
I've taken up too much of your time reading this review. Please put your phone down, call Ling Ling, make a reservation, and go enjoy...

You dine at Ling Ling and then move to the lounge area, where you are seated at a table by the manager. You step away briefly to use the bathroom and speak to a friend, and when you return, a strangerâwho was not assigned to your table and had arrived hours after youâis sitting at your table, which already had your French 75 and water on it, despite there being over eight other tables available. Over an hour later, multiple women are at your table, and the man who refused to move decides to sit right next to you.
Two security guards approach and ask, âIs this who was being aggressive?â pointing immediately at the only Black woman at the table. Everyone at your table confirms that you were sitting there the entire timeâbut the guards refuse to listen. You are asked to leave, your request to check the cameras is denied, your refund is withheld, and the police are called. Only when the police force management to review the cameras does it become clear that you did absolutely nothing wrong. You are refunded, but the man who lied for retaliation walks out laughing. Management refuses to record his information or hold anyone accountable, and they still claim this behavior was not racist. One cannot ignore the possibility that the staff were paid or influenced by this man to remove you, or that this was a case of blatant racism in a country that prides itself on treating women of all color well.
Imagine it not ending there, but the security takes pictures of your drivers license as you leave the hotel after being proved they have mistreated you.
Neither Ling Ling management nor the hotelâs upper management has reached out regarding repercussions for anyone involved, despite seeing firsthand that you were treated wrongfully. Imagine the ongoing embarrassment of having to cancel your birthday plans, as well as a summit planned in December where other successful, high-profile women business owners were going to attend and stay at the Royal Atlantisâbecause of the treatment at one club.
This is not just a bad night out. This is a blatant failure of hospitality, accountability, and basic human decency. Women, and especially women of color, be aware: you can be publicly humiliated, disbelieved, and treated as disposableâeven as a valued guestâwithout anyone in management taking responsibility.
