Curry Mile British Indian — Restaurant in Dubai

Having ordered via Careem (great reviews) then Google them, I was very surprised at the amount of negative reviews (all seem to be 12 months+ ago) before it was delivered.

Looking at past negative reviews, they seem very unjust, given this is a British Indian, not your typical Indian here in Dubai.

What I can say as a Brit, this was exactly the Indian we were expecting and it was absolutely worth every Dirham.

Everything was popping hot, extremely tasty and a nice little reminder of food back home (the UK). Can’t remember the last time we seen half rice, half chips and the naan is the size of your head. Tikka masala perfectly cooked along with fresh poppadoms and a chutney tray.

There’s 100’s of Indians in Dubai but if you’re looking for an Indian that takes you back home to the UK, look no further.

Looks like we’ve found our Friday takeaway!

I usually order from curry mile when I’m craving that uK style curry that we find back at home (don’t order if you’re expecting authentic Indian food) usually they are very good and closest to home you can get after living in Dubai for 12 years. However on this occasion I really felt ripped off (their prices are much higher then a regular Indian takeaway here anyways). The meat pieces in each curry I ordered were next to nothing, I ordered one king prawn dish which I paid extra for however the prawns were smaller than the regular size prawn dish that had I ordered previously, which I pad less for. I also paid extra for lamb tika in one of the curries and the meat pieces are so small you really wouldn’t know what you are eating. I don’t think I will order from here again considering the prices they charge and the quality/amount of meat they put...

Ordered a curry from these guys the other night. Was impressed but a couple of little things I’d love to see improved, onion bhajis please don’t put these in a plastic container moving forward. It makes them sweaty and takes away from outter crispy layer. Chicken tikka masala was quite bland, nice but not much flavour at all. And I think you need to sort the poppadom issue out, I’m guessing this was the delivery company and not you guys but we received crumbs not full poppadoms as they’ve probably broken in transport.
