Wanted to try out this place for a while, especially since they have evtg under one roof - grilled food, drinks & shisha!!

Unfortunately, they didn't have 2 things we were looking forward to - fresh oysters (out of stock) and shisha (moved to lobby for the summer). We, and many others who walked in, were very pretty disappointed!

We tried...

Drinks:

Classic Mojito - bit too sweet, which was adjusted 2nd time round with excess lemon juice, but I'll take that over drinking sugar syrup.

El Meu Avi (their signature award-winning cocktail) - extremely sweet and quite thick in consistency, but tastes really good!

Lindemans Merlot (amazing).

Verdict: Like most bars in Dubai, their cocktails were 2% alcohol, 48% sugar syrup/cordial/nonsense and 50% ice. Stick to wines or beers!

Food:

Fried Chicken appetizer - super tender & juicy inside (despite being a chicken breast) and crispy outside, but not very tasty. The batter had an old-oil taste, but the aioli covers it up well.

Burrata appetizer - AMAZING! Soft, flavorful and refreshing dish.

Bone-in Rib eye - AMAZING!!! Super tender and extremely flavorful, but the onion rings and triple cooked French fries were just soaked in OLD oil and not crispy at all.

Slow Cooked Beef Short Ribs - AMAZING!! Even more tender and flavorful.

Charred Broccolini - as described (nice)

Overall, the experience was not out of this world, but it's a decent place to go to especially if you want a really good steak, paired with nice wines or beers. Some appetizers and small plates are good, but to be fair we tried only the above and there are many more to choose from. The 4th star given is only due to the meat dishes that were exceptionally good. Price-wise it's a bit expensive, but if you have an Emirates Platinum Card it's a great deal. Staff are super friendly and accommodating. Not very busy for dinner, but apparently their Friday brunches are buzzing. Will try that...

I had one of the worst fine dining experiences at FireLake, Radisson Blu. While the ambiance might set certain expectations, the service was shockingly poor. After finishing my meal, I was made to wait for over an hour just to get the bill—completely unacceptable for any restaurant, let alone one positioning itself as fine dining.

To make matters worse, the manager was extremely rude, showed clear attitude issues, and offered no apology whatsoever for the delay. Instead of resolving the situation professionally, he made it worse with his dismissive behavior.

To provide a bit of a context, I was using the elite club membership. Before dining in, I confirmed with the staff about the use of voucher and they seemed aware. Upon finishing the meal, the management suddenly became oblivious and kept me waiting for 1 hour. They came up with 10 excuses to not let me redeem the voucher. Ironically, when none of their excuses seemed to work and were contradictory to the T&Cs of the membership then manager started speaking so rudely and filled with attitude. When I told him in the end I am never visiting your restaurant again, he says " Your wish" turned around and left.Best part of the whole thing is, i had used the same memebership a while back at Abraj Restaurant, radisson blu. But the manager seemed to be in a " I dont care attitude"

Never seen such a rude manager and never expected a hotel chain as reputed as Radisson Blu to entertain such disrespectful behaviour against their customers.
