I have booked a premium room with two single beds. at my arrival. They told me they don’t know if my room will be available or not because they don’t know if the current guest will extend his stay or not what was so funny to me. Although my reservation was confirmed this was a problem to me at first and bad experience coming tired from a long flight. They made me wait and then they gave me a room was not even clean and it was nasty and the dust everywhere. I went down to the reception and told them to do a deep cleaning to the room and I waited in the bar for about four hours all this as a start made my experience bad After that they told me the room is ready, and I went there, and it was better than before, but not what I have expected. Honestly, this is my second stay at this hotel. My first experience was good because the room was very good and the service as well. In my last visit, the service and the room and the staff all it was bad experience. When I told the lady in the reception, her name was Eman I told her the room is very dirty and does not meet my expectation and I am a customer and this is my second visit to this hotel and I am staying five nights you should solve this issue or at least upgrade my room as to what most respected hotel do and i told her I’m paying 6000 SAR for five nights. She told me if you wanna upgrade pay 4000 more what was really inconvenient not all this, but there was a receptionist guy. His name was Ronnie. He was very mean and unprofessional. Send day i went with my friend to the lounge bar and we ordered to drinks and then my friend found mosquito in the dirnk what made my stay even worse. In my third night i ask the receptionist in the hotel i want to pay for breakfast because my stay wasn’t included and he was okay giving me discounts and i pay 200 SAR for two people.we went to eat and when we finished the indian guy told us we have to pay 170 :) we told him come on we already paid !!! He said i am not informed and u should pay and his voice was laud !! I told him call receptionist and they will confirm my payment. Honesty, i don’t know what have happened to this hotel but it has changed , my las stay was less than year ago i wonder how they changed to this bad place in such short time. I told them i want to meet Almalki which is the GM for the hotel i was going to explain my issue to him but guess what ? They told me he is busy 🤣 honestly very bad experience comparing to the money you pay 💰 omg the smell in the lounge bar so bad and strong ! They should change it. Never coming again. I recently stayed at Anantara Downtown Dubai for four nights. While the hotel has many positive features, I unfortunately experienced a distressing incident on the final day that overshadowed my overall impression.
On the morning of my departure, I requested a late checkout for 2:00 PM (instead of the standard 12:00 PM) as I had a business meeting outside the hotel. This request was approved at 10:15 AM. I left for my meeting while my mother remained in the room.
Despite the confirmed late checkout, hotel staff began calling the room repeatedly—over five times—starting from 12:00 PM, insisting she check out. My mother, who does not speak English, tried to explain this but was not understood. Shockingly, at around 12:30 PM, a staff member entered the room without prior notice or permission, while she was in the middle of prayer, and asked her again to check out.
My mother immediately called me, very upset. I had to leave my meeting abruptly and return to the hotel. When I spoke to the receptionist, Eman, she claimed she had been communicating with my mother in Arabic—which was unfortunately not true. My mother confirmed that she was not spoken to in Arabic and had difficulty understanding what was happening. Throughout the discussion, the receptionist remained dismissive, showed no empathy, and offered no apology. When the manager was called, he also failed to take any meaningful action.
This level of service was extremely disappointing and unprofessional, and does not reflect the standards I have come to expect from the Anantara brand. I’ve stayed at Anantara The Palm several times (4–5 times), and have always experienced outstanding service and professionalism there.
That said, I would like to sincerely thank Rhea at the front desk, who was very professional, welcoming during check-in, and helpful when I extended my stay. Her attitude and service were a bright spot during my visit.

I recently had the pleasure of staying for two nights at Anantara Downtown Dubai, and let me just say – it was an absolutely flawless experience from start to finish.
First and foremost, the cleanliness of the hotel was nothing short of perfection. The rooms and shared spaces were immaculate – not a speck of dust or dirt to be found anywhere. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that the highest standards of hygiene and maintenance were upheld throughout the property.
The service was outstanding. Every single staff member I interacted with carried a warm smile and an eagerness to help. A special shoutout goes to the incredible room service team – Kyaw, Nanda, Jenny, and Piyush – who ensured everything I needed was provided promptly and with genuine hospitality. Their attentiveness and professionalism truly elevated the stay.
The food at Anantara was another highlight – delicious, perfectly seasoned, always served hot and right on time. Dining in-room or otherwise felt like a luxury experience in itself.
The rooms were super comfortable, with plush bedding and a serene ambiance that made it easy to relax. The view from my room was breathtaking – a picturesque slice of Downtown Dubai. The hotel’s location is perfect for exploring the city, offering quick access to all the main attractions.
One of the standout parts of my stay was the exceptional care I received while I wasn’t feeling well. I want to give a massive thanks to Sanjay from the room service team, who went above and beyond to look after me. His genuine concern, thoughtful help, and even bringing me some medicine, showed a level of hospitality you rarely see. His efforts truly made a difference and reflect the kind of service that makes this hotel exceptional.
All in all, Anantara Downtown Dubai delivers an experience that’s luxurious, caring, and unforgettable. I’ll definitely be returning—and I highly recommend it to anyone...
