Disappointing
This is the second desert safari I did, this time I wanted to try a different company. Unfortunately the safari was disappointing in many ways.
Starting with the dune bashing, the bashing only took about 6 minutes and was a short distance. It was over before it even really began and ended promptly at the camp, where we were rushed in for the payment while it was getting dark. We hadnât taken any photos yet.
After the ride we went to the camp, where all night they focussed on sales (more to that later). While of course we also wanted to do the camel ride, the poor animals are going in circles all day. Therefore, they started being stubborn and grunted loudly with the people before us, refusing to get up. So once it was our turn we were skeptical and when we got off the camel ride (around 1 minute included) the camel wanted to spit at us (it had a mouth guard so it wasnât able to actually spit at us).
The shows at the camp were very entertaining with belly dance and others. Once the show ended however, everyone was rushed out fast. I was still eating and having a Shisha, when the driver asked us to please leave now. When I asked if he could take another picture he responded that other guests were waiting and we needed to hurry.
Overall the driver (Mr. Imran) was rushing us constantly and saying we needed to hurry up more and was not very friendly, just caring about getting the payment done and about being done fast. For a desert safari which is a one time event, this was unacceptable.
Worst of all, the whole safari long someone is trying to sell you something for extra charges. At the starting camp it began with pictures of falcons, dune buggies, scarfs and more. At arrival at the final camp the staff was very pushy in upselling better tables, a special buffet, drinks that you had to pay for before the buffet was opened, different longer and better camel rides. It was very annoying when you try to sit and relax or watch a show and constantly get bothered by someone trying to sell you things. And once the staff understood you were not interested in buying anything else, they became much less friendly.
Overall, I would not recommend the tour, as the main focus seems to be extra charges and fees. It was all very rushed and while all the parts of a desert safari were technically there, it was missing any care. While I recommend a desert safari, maybe try it...

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a desert safari in Dubai, and it was truly a magical adventure. From start to finish, the excursion was expertly organized, offering a perfect blend of excitement and cultural immersion.
Booking and Transportation: The booking process was seamless, with clear communication from the tour company. They picked me up from my hotel in a comfortable 4x4 vehicle, which set the tone for the day ahead.
Dune Bashing: As we entered the desert, the thrill of dune bashing began. The skilled driver navigated the towering sand dunes with incredible precision, providing an adrenaline-pumping experience that left me exhilarated. The breathtaking views of the golden sands and the vast desert landscape were simply stunning.
Camel Riding: After the dune bashing, we had the opportunity to ride camels. This was a unique and gentle experience, giving us a glimpse into traditional Bedouin life. The guides were knowledgeable and shared interesting facts about the camels and their importance in Emirati culture.
Cultural Experiences: The safari included a visit to a traditional Bedouin camp, where we enjoyed various cultural activities. I tried my hand at sandboarding, henna painting, and even enjoyed a falconry demonstration. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and I loved learning about local customs and traditions.
Dining Under the Stars: As the sun set, we were treated to a sumptuous barbecue dinner under the stars. The food was delicious, featuring a variety of grilled meats, vegetarian options, and traditional Middle Eastern dishes. The accompanying entertainment, including belly dancing and Tanoura performances, added to the enchanting ambiance of the evening.
Overall Experience: This desert safari was an unforgettable experience that combined adventure, culture, and relaxation. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring that everyone felt comfortable and well taken care of. I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Dubaiâit's a perfect way to escape the city and immerse yourself in the beauty of the Arabian desert.
