Gazebo - Al Twar — Restaurant in Dubai

Unfortunately I had a really bad experience here.

I’ll break it down into 3 parts.

Portion help from servers. We were 12 people which includes 2 children and one vegetarian. We asked the waiter for help to order to ensure we have enough but not over order. But unfortunately this was not the case, the server told us it wasn’t enough and we ordered way too much than required and carried one large biriyani, rotis, naans, 1 full curry home. What I felt could have been 700 for the bill ended up being 1049! Ridiculous! 4 starters, 2 large Biriyani, 1 small veg Biriyani, rotis, 2 currries. The amount of food we had to carry back was ridiculous. We ended up asking to pack even before the food reached the table.

Serving mechanism The serving mechanism was just not normal. The servers placed the soup bowls directly on the plate and not on a soup plate. This is not normal. And after the soup was done the soup bowl was removed but not the plate.

Non veg biryani served to a vegetarian. The one vegetarian biryani we requested, we ended up getting non veg biryani and it was opened and served on the plate. Then we had to send it back and get another biryani.

Food was good, but it’s the experience that matters as well to me. Won’t be...

FOUR REASONS FOR 5 STARS!

Great food! The spices, variety and flavours. The Indian Food are authentic to their region. The vegetarian fare is equally good as the non-veg.

Practical privacy as we were given a cubicle which had its own curtain. Important during COVID times as well as undistracted attention to the family and food while eating. Believe me when I say that you enjoy food and it's flavour when undistracted.

The staff in a restaurant matter a lot. I guess Gazebo has put efforts in this regard to ensure that the staff are courteous, knowledgeable about Customer choices and their own food items as well as follow all protocols to ensure safety during this COVID times.

Did I forget to mention one big factor of any business success. Location, Location and Location. Convenience in Location, Parking, access to public transport and other factors seems to be...

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at the Gazebo Al Tawr branch. Despite reserving a table in advance, the staff failed to honor our reservation, leaving us without a slot. What made the situation worse was the unprofessional and unacceptable manner in which the staff responded to our concerns.

Their approach was neither courteous nor aligned with the level of service expected from a reputed establishment like Gazebo. This experience left us frustrated and dissatisfied. I strongly urge the management to address these issues and provide proper training to the staff to improve their professionalism and customer service.
