A Long Overdue Review – Outstanding Care and Service

I stayed at the TIME Grand Plaza Hotel in November last year with my mom, and although our trip took an unexpected turn, the kindness and professionalism of the staff made all the difference.

On the very first day of our stay, my mom unfortunately suffered a minor injury that required medical attention. The hotel staff immediately sprang into action to assist us. The lady at the front desk kept me informed while we waited for the medical team to arrive, and Ahmed, one of the staff members, stayed with us the entire time. He even accompanied us to the hospital, ensuring we got there safely and helping me with all the necessary paperwork — truly service beyond compare.

After the hospital visit, the hotel arranged for us to be picked up. Yunus, the hotel driver, was incredibly kind and made sure we returned safely and comfortably.

In the days that followed, the staff continued to go above and beyond. They regularly checked in on us, helped my mom get to and from the elevator (sometimes even escorting us all the way to our room), and provided a wheelchair for her to use around the hotel.

We are deeply grateful to the entire team for their compassion, attentiveness, and support during a stressful time. Thanks to their care, what could have been a very difficult situation felt much more manageable.

Dear Shoba Metwally, I 'm Ibtissam Syed Rahmathulla,I'm staying in Time Grand Plaza Hotel,The ambiance of the rooms is pleasant, and the housekeeping staff does a great job. However, there are some significant shortcomings. Like,the shower lacks a proper faucet, and there’s no Android TV or basic amenities for emergency situations. When I requested an oven, the front office manager informed me that it’s prohibited by UAE law. While I understand the regulations, I believe that hotels should make exceptions for guests with valid reasons. This experience was truly disappointing and left me feeling unwelcome.Then, I find it disheartening that the government has imposed such strict rules and regulations on this particular hotel. It seems unfair that they are singled out, especially when it negatively impacts the guest experience.Why this UAE Government intentionally hindering their own growth.This behavior is self-sabotaging, Actually this government actively limiting their potential.If you encounter any issues with this government, please don't hesitate to contact me. Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Price or the Hassle

I booked a suite (Room 319) for 4 people at this hotel based on the reception’s recommendation. Unfortunately, the experience was highly disappointing from the moment we checked in.

Air Conditioning: The AC was barely working and the room remained warm and uncomfortable throughout. Even after repeated complaints and a technician visit, the issue was not resolved.

Room Condition: The room had a persistent bad odor, and the furniture and appliances were outdated—especially the TV, which looked like it was from the 1950s and didn’t even have any music or entertainment channels.

Booking Mismatch: We booked for 4 adults, yet the room only had one double bed and a sofa—not appropriate for a group of four.

No Refund Policy: Within 10 minutes of checking in, we requested a cancellation due to the room's poor condition, but the front desk refused any refund.

Poor Service: We requested an air freshener and had to wait over 2 hours with no response. Even bottled water beyond four small bottles was chargeable.

Despite using the room for only 2 hours, we had to check out and lose the full amount we paid.

Overall: This hotel did not meet even basic expectations of cleanliness, comfort, or service. I do not recommend it to anyone, especially families or groups. Be cautious before booking, as you may not receive fair support or value...
