I am so disappointed to have to be the first negative review but this was possibly the worst service/experience I’ve had at a restaurant. Customer service/manager really do not have a clue how to run this place.
I ate there for dinner on Saturday evening. Sat down at the table outside at 9:30. The table we were given was not ready, I had to ask for a lamp otherwise it was very dark. Also had to ask for napkins and everything basically. After 15 mins, our order was taken. Ordered 1 findik lahmacun, Adana kebab, saslik kebab, coke & strawberry daiquiri. Another 20 mins had passed and we had no sign of drinks. I mention it to the waiter just to remind them. Further 20 minutes go by and still no food, no drink. Several other tables who were sat down a long time after us were already eating and had drinks also. I ask for the manager, I let him know we have been waiting and not had simple drinks sent to us yet. After 1 hour had passed, I got up and went to the bar myself and asked for the manager again and to see what was going on and this by no means was acceptable. He assured me the drinks and food were coming.
Around 1 hr 10 mins after we sat down, our drinks arrived. Then the Adana kebab main dish arrived but not my saslik kebab. After 5 minutes, the waiter gives the findik lahmacun and also says ‘sorry but we are out of saslik, our chef has overcooked and we cannot serve it and we do not have anymore’. This is whilst my wife’s food has already been served. I was told they will get me out something very quickly. Bear in mind, not what I asked to order. My wife’s food is finished and my main comes out which is also Adana kebab. It was very rushed and did not taste nice. I made sure to mention this to the manager as I was not pleased. He offered some Turkish tea but I do not drink turkish tea. He offered a free kuneffe dessert which was not nice as it contained cheese. After all this, he expected me to pay the bill in the full. I explained to him this was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant and we were very much looking forward to dinner here.
It is such a shame to say but I will never visit or recommend this to anyone. Also they have no garlic or chilli sauce so the food is quite dry! But they had the nerve to charge me for food I did not order and was not cooked nicely as it was rushed.
I explained to both managers, I think barish was one of them, my experience and he could not offer anything and in the end agreed to remove the Adana kebab that I did not order. I hope this was a big learning curve for manager here but you cannot treat customers like this.
I would rate the food 5/10 as everything was rushed and not given nicely. I would rate the service 0/10. Even after mentioning several times to the staff about the issues, they could not get it right and it got worse and worse as the night went on.
I hope the owner see’s my review and gets in contact with me as I would like to take this up further for sure. And like I said, I did not want to be the first bad review but this truly was the worst experience I’ve had in a restaurant and the manager could not even put it right except to offer a free dessert which was not nice and then finally remove 1 Adana kebab meal that I did not order.
I look forward to...
Read moreWe are a family of 3 that went today for a dinner here, simply & casually dressed. When we arrived we met a man at reception whom we asked if they had vegetarian options & he pointed us towards a lady who nicely attended to us. He didn’t answer our question. We then were sat down by the same lady, nice girl & then attended by a Turkish guy whom again when we asked for recommendations about vegetarian options, pointed us at menu & was honest he didn’t like vegetables & didn’t try any of them. We went ahead & ordered some appetisers. Then when the dishes arrived he merely left them at our table without returning to check if there was anything else we needed. In fact we could see him cheerfully serving other guests except us & we had to wave our hands each time to attract attention. He didn’t return even once to check on us. We loved the food so didn’t care much. What happened next shocked us, my daughter & I were still eating & my husband walked up to din tai fung next door as he wanted to try them too. The man at reception at this stage, immediately ran inside of restaurant, keeping an eye contact at me, whilst walking up to pillar & telling his colleague to rush the bill in a manner as if my family were going to run away without paying. Mind you we were still eating & had our drinks yet to be finished too. My husband had just only walked to next door to check for seat. When I spotted this, I was extremely upset because even our appetisers were not small money but we were made to feel very small. I am glad we paid bill & went away without ordering anymore. At this stage, I made sure I relayed my feedback to the Turkish attendant who just said ok, without apologies, then the reception man also said ok, & reluctantly said sorry, the only one that cared was the reception lady who asked if she should call manager as I told them I would put a Google review. The whole biased poorly treatment & judgement towards us by the two men left such a poor experience & all the great food that we ate took away our mood. I am shocked as to how they treat people differently & how...
Read moreLet me tell you, Kasibeyaz is the place where your taste buds go on vacation. The online menu is so well-organised you’ll be picking your meal like a seasoned pro, not scrolling endlessly like you're lost in the Sahara. They've got everything—so there's no one left out. And don’t forget the specials or offers! It’s like a lucky dip of deliciousness, whether it’s Wednesday, Friday, or any other day ending in ‘y.’
Now, let's talk service. Manoj? The man is a legend. He’s that rare breed of server who’s got the perfect balance—attentive without hovering over you like a waiter ninja. He’s got that million-dollar smile, a smooth conversationalist, and the guy knows his stuff. Need help choosing between dishes? Manoj's got suggestions that’ll make you second guess your original pick. Upselling? He’s subtle about it—by the end, you’ll wonder how you ordered more but can’t be mad about it.
He’s not running the show alone, though. Zin and a couple of sprightly, well-groomed, and super-polite male staff members were there to assist. These guys were like dining room ninjas, swooping in to clear plates, wipe up messes, and fold napkins faster than you can say "Turkish tea." And yes, Manoj threw in 2 complimentary cups of that golden elixir at the end—just what we needed to wrap up the meal like rrue VIP's.
Oh, and let’s not forget the food. The presentation? Like a work of art, but thankfully edible. Everything arrived at the perfect temperature, and the flavours were so on point, I briefly considered moving to Turkey. And if you need anything, condiments, sauces, a rocket to Mars—Manoj and his crew will sort you out before you even finish asking, all while looking fresh and hygienic, like they just stepped out of a grooming commercial. You’re definitely in safe, clean hands here.
In short, Kasibeyaz and the team—especially Manoj and Zin and the troopers—make you feel like royalty. You’ll leave with a happy belly, a smile on your face, and maybe a newfound love for...
